'Optional'???

The chapter points are wrong therefore this is not an optional patch - after they dissed FCR for being wrong - when they were correct in the first place!!!

Obviously this may of had a new protection, cause both groups had trouble ripping this and putting it together.

in all the chicken little dvdr releases i've seen so far they all seem to have a little white camera icon top centre of the screen with 1/3 written beside it,is there any way of taking this off or is it actually meant to be in the movie?

True. I can't remux it with out getting a A/V delay. Any every program out there tels me there is no A/V delay...

I was thinking the same thing. Slap around another group for fucking up and then turn around and fuck it up themselves. Classic...

XPDVD didn't "fuck it up" at all. They merely didn't make quite as good a job of it as they could have done, something which they corrected very quickly. The new patch works extremely well whereas FCR still couldn't get it right after two attempts. Someone with a five-DVD limit on downloads has already used up three of them on this one title and it wouldn't surprise me if we next get a "properred proper" bringing the total to four.

Whos gives a shit, If you donwloaded the FCR your screwed. XPDVD did well wih this release as far as quality and keeping the most you can. One little effin chapter mix up and you got little girls whinning like bithes.

That's an "angle" icon which is displayed by your DVD player. The film makes use of the angle button to provide three language options when things like posters and newspaper headlines appear in a scene.

You should be able to turn the icon off via the setup of your player (i.e. go into setup when you have no disc in the tray).

Did any1 else have trouble burning this? Went through 2 discs, and the third burned very poorly.

My Pioneer Doesn't Like It

I'm not sure what the deal is, but my Pioneer DV-C505 doesn't like this patched release. The menu comes up, but it locks up right before the movie. Scene selection won't start the sucker either.

Guess I'll stick with the rerip of the FCR release, which happens to play fine in it though.

They really fucked something up here. Pauses at 51 seconds for me, when playing from disk or from image on hard drive.

Posted by ntscuser on 04-28-2006 03:55 PM:

Yes, there is a problem with this "fixed" release. The "angles" containing the alternate language sequences should have been removed completely. Even if you disable the angle markers the sound will dropout where they used to appear. This XPDVD version played perfectly on my Pioneer DV-575A but refused to play at all on a friend's Philips.

I made my own "English-only" copy from the DVD-9 and sure-enough the chapters didn't quite match the menu. That was fixed with PGCedit (along with 304 other anomolies) but if I was being paid by the hour it would have cheaper to buy a new copy.

If you read anywhere that someone made a "perfect copy" with some one-click apllication or other they are talking complete BS. I had to use three separate editing programs before the file was running to my satisfaction and I don't have particularly high standards
