WOW... They stripped the original Japanese audio track to keep some bullshit extras... Going to download a RAR to make sure, but geez...

Shit ass job. Dubs are awful...

I guess the MPTDVD version is still the one to have since it has both Japanese and English audio tracks including english subs.

Howls.Moving.Castle.DVDR-MPTDVD

Anyhoo on to rateing the release. EVEN though no jap audio it's still a great release and the kids will enjoy.

This release is as bad as Walk the Line... The most critical audio track to keep is the original Japanese track, not the garbage English. And kept useless extras...

And the video is nothing great either here.

Worthless shit ass release. 1/10... Sticking with my MPTDVD release like the above is, even if the video is worse on that one and it is only a 2.0 track.

But since it is a minor film, don't expect any better from anyone else. Ah well... Will just run to the video store myself (again)...

It's like watching Bambi in Japanese, whats the point?

Most anime is dubbed anyhow, last I checked no kids would watch a subbed pokemon or dagonball z.

Video better then MPTDVD, plays fine here. Not my kinda flick.

Wrong-o... It's like watching Bambi in English (the original audio). If you watched Bambi in Jap, it would be a dub.

The original language always prevails, including for any foreign film, etc...

Secondly, if "it ain't your kind of film", then why do you have both the MPT and this release.

Dubs are for retards that can't read and are lazy as shit (or retarded children with the attention span of a chimp).

I have to agree with porco here.

XPDVD always looks at quality/extras all these candies that we love, but this time it did a kiddie job.

Though original audio is not always the *BEST*, it's certainly a more honest approach than a dub.

Dubs stink coz the mouths move toward the original text, and the dub voices don't always fit in.

However, considering this is an ANIME release, original audio is more important than ever.

It's the fun of anime, listening to those japanese guys babbling on, and reading what they're on about on the subtext.

Yes, MPTDVD won this time around, I just have to go find their release now <g>

oh look, there's a new one out there: Howls.Moving.Castle.Proper.2004.R1.WS.NTSC.DVDR-JKR. Anyone tried it yet?
