i seen this at the movies was a great film.

V7 A:8 seems to be a bit of a jitter to the picture and looked washed but shit happens on tvout it is a dvdscr and is free so can't moan.

will wait for the dvdr to do a decent post on a great film.

good

Clearly a reencode of Hydro's, so if you have hydro's keep it. Video's only slightly better (black is more defined than the metallic blue of hydro's rls) so if you want the vid slightly better, get it, otherwise....

vid 8.5
aud 8
mov. will watch!

I seriously found this to be a mixed bag. The picture was quite nice in the light parts, but pretty damn woefull in the dark areas (second half of the movie). The sound was quite hard to hear unless you turned it up loud. Then got blown away by shrieks of pain, screaming orgasms and dance music.

This is just arriving at the cinema's here and the ad's do actually look quite grainy, so maybe the film does have a rather unfinished look to it?

I'll personally give this v:6 s:6 m:5 (pretty crappy first half)

This release got nuked

this release got nuked fo no ivtc.

ya i dunno if the film is supposed to be this dark, maybe it adds to the realism. anyway, this is quite good for a dvdscr. no b&w scenes, theres a scrolling lions gate message from time to time but they last about 2 sec so there not bothersome.

8 - a bit dark but nice quality
10 - sound seemed fine to me.
8 - i loved the movie. did take awhile to get moving with the horror. but once it started it was very well done. this is much better than the regular pussy pg-13 ghost shit and crappy remakes that hollywood's been shitting out lately. its not as good as wolf creek but its def one of my fav horrors of the year.

Watchable but very low quality for a DVDSCR, which it probably isn't.

Movie doesn't always work, and seems torn between being a campy gorefest and a serious horror film, but when it does work its quite effective. Also, outside of the torture/killings, one of the more accurate Hollywood portrayals of eastern Europe I've seen.

5/6/8

First of all, this doesn't seem to be a DVDSCR at all. It's far too soft for that IMO. Probably a reencode of the Hydro rls as stated.

As for it having no IVTC, I can't see any interlacing artefacts anywhere in it.

V: 5 (Nowhere near DVDSCR)
A: 9 (Haven't noticed any problems)
M: ? (Not watched it all yet)
