Still found some stuff wrong with the rip...
- They haven't removed all the unused menu buttons
- They have removed all audio tracks except English. However, there are a couple of scenarios when a different audio track will be selected by the disc routing or buttons. The most common scenario will be when the user turns the audio commentary from the menu. This will turn on track 5, which isn't present. Some players will crash on this.
- They haven't removed the unused subtitle tracks which are "hardcoded" audio specific subs. These are subtitle tracks 77-80. If they should be present can be debated, as some viewer might like them, but personally I would have stripped them.
- They haven't removed the audio commentary subs. These are subtitle tracks 81-88.
- Stripping both unused subtitle track version would have saved 60MB. Nothing major, but I always see it as a missed oppurtunity.
Biggest issue will be the audio tracks, because some players can crash on this. Most player however will just play track 0 even if 5 was supposed to play according to commands. The rest is just me nit-picking...

well i found out the other day as i tested the XPDVD releases of American Pie Band Camp, Red Eye, among others, that they also never removed unused menu buttons. in Red Eye the DVD even freezes when the "menu" button is pressed.
so, i think we usually complain immediately when we see SCREAM doing its job, but a lot of groups out there today simply do unprofessional jobs.

Guess that depends on how you look at it. Most stuff XPDVD doesn't fit my liking. And if it does it's just for a quick look and bin. Discs that I suspect do fit my liking, and when I have the time to play around, I tend to take a bit of a closer look...
So the complaining isn't necessarilly a bad thing. If it sucked (and potentially crashing discs due to ripping erros do) and nobody would say anything about it, that IMHO immediatelly says enough about the release itself.
