is this the same source as Mission.Impossible.3.TELESYNC.XviD-PUKKA ?

Posted by Jules_Taverni on 05-07-2006 08:15 PM:

good colors, but slightly blured pictures and looks to be way over cropped.

looks like same source as the pukka xvid

First of all props to SEPTIC for labling this release accordingly. 90% of the groups out there would have tried to pass this off as a TELECiNE

Video has dark flickering around the edges and a few times where the camera shakes around. The video goes in and out of focus non stop. Also the copy is slightly too dark, making dark scenes hard to see (watch during night). Main flaw of this is the overcrop and bad A/R. Some scenes half of tom cruise's bushy eyebrows cut off. Audio seems decide and direct, bit i watched was all in sync.

V - 6.5 (good video, overcropped)
A - 7 (direct and in sync)
M - ?

Overall - very watchable copy.

I give it a week before BLiNK or iNCiTE try and pass this off as a TC.

If this is the pukka release then it will be missing around 3 mins, looks a little clearer to me than pukkas xvid thouigh im only going on the sample.

Unacceptable subject matter for less than a flawless cam

Cams are ok for dramas, chick-flicks and other subject matter where dialogue carries the movie. MI3 is all eye-candy with choreographed gunplay/action sequences. I can't penalize a cam for being a cam, but even with a cam there are standards. Movie should NOT be constantly going in and out of focus. Sound was ok - hollowness fades from perception at most times.

I give this 5/7/unrated.

I'd rate the video lower due to the abysmal focus and a/r, but this seems to be typical for cams these days.

This movie requires a cam with an honest 9/9 to be watchable - otherwise you just aren't seeing the whole movie. If you truly can't wait - pony up the cash to see it at a theater.

Reminds me of Constantine - I snagged a DVD of it recently - it was a completely different movie when I could actually see the effects that were muted beyond recognition in the cam version I had.

It seems to be missing some video on cd 2...

Posted by Peoples-Agent on 05-07-2006 10:21 PM:

Awww, shame.

Been nuked for having 6 mins missing on cd2 or something.

Pukka version was already nuked for having 3 mins missing, but the lesser of two evils.

Still, not a bad release. Props to the groups.

Theres a screener for this movie as David Letterman said he only watched an hour of it when Tom Cruise appeared one night on the show. I saw it in the theaters and it was pretty good. I still like the first 1 better=0)
