Whats the best dvd burner so far

Im lookin to get a dvd burner sometime soon, but all i read about alot of them dont seem to pleasing any one got any suggestions cause ive got know fucking idea what one to get. Also how long does it take to burn the full 4.7 gigs

Just bought a Pioneer 104 DVD-RW and it is brill, if you are used to lightning fast CD burns it can be a bit of a drag as it takes around 50 mins to burn the full 4.7gig DVD but if you buy certified 2x media (The media controls the speed you can't over-ride it) it will half the time.

Just a question is it a CD-R als well? Thanks

One time, my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. i have a pioneer dvr-104 (oem) and i like it alot have never had a coaster and have burned hella with it and its a cd-rw as well and for what i piad for it i think i got my money worth out of it(270 US)

the 104 is good at cdr i suppose, its 8x and has buffer underrun protection. So ive not had any problems with it, apart from it being a bit slow when backing up large images. But works a treat for ps2 games and the like so im chuffed with the drive overall.

i also have the dvr 104....with a cd recorder....how fast can the crw go ? i used nero..but it only seems to go 8x....is it the hardware? or is there a program that can make it go faster..for like vcd or mp3's...

If you want a DVD-R burner, it HAS to be Pioneer because they own the system.

However, I did read a report that sometime in the autumn Pioneer were going to sell the rights to other manufacturers, e.g. Samsung, who would be bringing out cheaper drives, maybe even 4X. No sign of this happening yet though - anyone know what's going on?
