Knight Rider Movie

was listening to the radio this morning and they had an entertainment update, that had mentioned that hasslehoff was planning on starring in the new Knight rider movie, apparently the director (could be wrong) is a HUGE Knight Rider fan, and wants to make an updated version of the movie, so....

its listed on IMDB, but its in pre-production, also it shows the hoff as the lead..

As many people commented on IMDB, I wonder what car they will use? The 1982 Trans Am is just too old, and since Pontiac stop making them in 2002 (fuckin' bastards!) there's no new model of the T/A to use. I personally would use a 2002 model done up in knight rider style, but who knows. And the suggesting of changing the concept Camero (for 2008) would be interesting, but why do it if the car will never see production? The GTO is a possible choice, but really, it needs to be a Trans Am.

Loved this show, in part because I'm a big Firebird/TA fan. I've owned a 67, 73, 78, 81, 85, and 97. All great cars in their own right, and a lot of fun to drive.

And they better use William Daniels for K.I.T.T.!

I have used my movie industry connections and can exclusively reveal the following: The car will be a diesel Ford Probe and the voice of Kitt will be done by Sean Bean, with a bad Welsh accent*




*In other words, the movie will be terrible... Possibly more terrible than the STV dogshit that was Knight Rider 2000

Watched the pilot for the new series of Knight Rider. Not sure if they've scrapped the plans for a movie in favour of a new TV run or if there will be any follow up to the pilot. Either way, it was pretty good, I would watch more.

Hasselhoff Cameo at the end was a nice touch.

Apparently that pilot IS the movie. Its on for about 1:30. No sign yet of a follow up series.
