My Burnt Dvd's are my sig.
Video is really pixellated, the low bitrate of a 1 cd xvid is made even worse by all the post-processing that went into the CGI in the movie. The movie has way too much stylistic use of color to be easily compressable, and the 'scene rules' ruin yet another release.
Audio is 128kbps crap and has a total lack of low end.
The unrated cut still has no blood, audio of breaking bones from original test screening cut wasn't put back, etc. You get a little bit more background info at the start, and a few things here and there. Basically a drop in the bucket compared to the ~35 minutes they actually butchered out of it.
6/6/7
Yes...I was looking for what exactly is wrong with this release and I guess those things describe it. Images seem too soft, almost blurry. It just doesn't look very good.
...when it comes to action or scifi films where i can see the 'scene rules' are going to ruin the rlz, like this one, i always wait for internals... 80% of the time they do a better job, which was especially true for underworld evolution for example...
anyone else getting the sound out of syn problem with it? and yes the addition of the blood would of helped this movie out a lot
this seems a good 1/4sec out of sync to me - both on a standalone and with VLC.
nobody else getting this prob? or are you rating from the sample?
Yeah out of synch all the way through... NUKE it peeps!!

here's the contents of the .vcf file from the syncfix for those that know how to use it with nandub:
VirtualDub.Open("xv-ultraviolet.unrated.avi",0,0);
VirtualDub.audio.SetInterleave(1,500,1,0,250);
VirtualDub.video.SetMode(0);
VirtualDub.SaveAVI("xv-ultraviolet.unrated.syncfixed.avi");
or in simple terms it adds a 250ms delay

I never had the sync fix when I watched it.
The movie itself was better than I expected.
7/7/7
Picture is quite soft and the res is small, 544x288
The fix sorted out the audio sync, but its not the best quality.
Movie is shite.
