It's okay

Well, overall it was good. Image quality is what you'd expect from a dvdscr. The audio however, has a slight sync issue, not too noticeable but it's present. I don't know maybe it's just my copy. The movie is very good. To all you pedophiles watch out!!

Just finished watching this. Yes its a XviD convert which is a bit pointless why not just release it as an XviD? saves me the download time and lets me convert it how i like.

Thought the movie was really good, the ending wasn't amazing but i've seen worse.

Oh and I didn't notice any sync issues.

whitenoisemaker i agree pointless conversion its quicker to download the avi & convert it yourself.

On a 2mb line.

Downloading DVD = 5 hours tops

Downloading XviD = 1 hour (roughly)
Encoding with a decent encoder (Winavi is crap) = 5 - 6 hours (duel core Opteron 170 @ 2.6Ghz)

So for a lof of people, having the dvd is the quicker option with a lot less work to do...

xtremex you say its takes you 5-6 hours to encode an avi movie what are you using tortoiseavi encoder do yourself a favour and try convertx to dvd by vso. it will take between 50 & 80 mins max.

Posted by XtremeX on 07-30-2006 06:55 PM:

If I convert an avi I use Canopus Procoder 2. No visual loss in quality at all
I'll give VSO a try though, cheers!

maby an xvid would have been better.. but it would have broken many site rules... seince XanaX had rls'd the XviD already.

xvid encoded to dvd? you've got to be kidding. ffs die prevail. where can I send you the bill for my bandwidth this month?

rated as a dvdr

I agree VSO does a nice job converting video files to DVD spec. BUt sometimes it makes the widescreen movies a bit "squished". I sometimes use DVD SANTA as well. Both programs are nice, as for the film. I got another groups release it was VERY out of sync but I fixed that issue with nandub, resaved the AVI, burned then played it on my DVd player. I felt this film was pretty good. Downloading a Divx file is way quicker than downloading a whole DVD-R at least for me. It takes about 2 hours max to complete the conversion process.

For me it takes 7 minutes to download an Xvid and an hour to download a DVD.

But despite this... if conversion's take roughly an hour and a half using VSO...it's quicker for me to download the DVD's ;-]

A fine copy anyway =]
