Its also the only DVDRip of the movie you goof. There was only TS and TC, and both were poor.
9/9/7

This and the Slither DVDSCR back to back was a nice treat.

Theres a 'proper' now: Silent.Hill.2006.PROPER.NTSC.DVDR-ThP.torrent

"Notes: CuriousJotos had reencoded menu that causes
freezing on standalones, and nonworking menu
for some

we could rls a ifo patch, but to be honest, "reencoded menu"
and stripped IFOs, and a made up bitrate from a calculater
looks more like a one click program"

Silent.Hill.2006.PROPER.NTSC.DVDR-ThP is out

Posted by mpfire on 08-11-2006 09:45 PM:

You can always the proper DVD9 rip:
Silent.Hill.2006.PROPER.NTSC.DVDR-ThP

A-10
V-10
M-8

The movie is visually stunning and almost has a sense of erotica in its mix of atmosphere, colors, and poetic motion.

The only that kept me from giving this movie a 10 was the ending.

very good rls. sharp visuals & cracking sound make this a must as the xvid dvdrips are not up to their usual high standards. keep up the good work.
v -9.5
a - 9.5
m - 8

had no probs playing this on both of my sony dvd players one is a dvd recorder which is very fussy. perhaps it might be the way you all put it to disk. this might help! extract img using iso buster burn using nero 6. works fine.

Great release, very nice video and spot on sound.

Also nice to see Menu encoding happening, especially when the menu is very large.

Forget the Proper, this one is better anyway, and a little not below that helps clear things up a little.

mmmmm.... you guys are jotos. Our release was encoded using CCE 6 passes, we dont use
1clicks, stop doing unneeded propers and go ahead and win a fair race. Also, menu enconding
is not against any rules, considering it was a fucking big menu (614mb) ... did u actually
keep it untouched? Your .nfo was full of crap (with no proof of course) and your release has
lower bitrate than ours. Our release is 4.37gb and yours is 4.32gb. Do i need to say more?
Next time pls do so more research instead of saying its a 1 click copy, not because we are
a new group, we dont deserve respect.
Btw, our release was tested on standalones from the following companies: Phillps, Magonvox,
JVC, KLH, Digix, Apex, XBOX360 and regular XBOX, and it worked perfect.

Cya Jotos!

9/9/?

Menu was screwed on my standalone.

I hammered a few butons and got it to play the movie, but the menu was screwed.

Maybe it was the DVD I used, as the Pc wouldnt read it either.

anyways, the quality was good, I will jut remove the menu when i have re-downloaded it (yeah I deleted it like a dipshite)

9/9

Totally unnecesary proper... first release has a smaller menu and better bitrate. I dont see any stripped ifos like they said and its clearly not a one-click copy. And the most important thing, it worked perfect here in my PC, standalone and xbox360.
ThP, just admit it, u lost on this one.

Menu is a little odd. With all the extras blanked [Previews/Special Features] the buttons on the Main Menu are only partialy blanked. Although I had no problems playing it in 2 standalone players and on 2 PCs maybe it could cause a problem(?)

There are 5 buttons on the Main Menu. The Features/Special Features are blanked in Vob ID1/Cell ID1. However the same 5 buttons also show up in Vob ID14/Cell ID1, Vob ID15/Cell ID2. and Vob ID16/Cell ID1 and they are NOT blanked.
Blank them out with IFOEdit or MenuEdit [I used MenuEdit]

Movie played fine for me

worked wonderful thank you

Hi there!

I can't get this copy to work on my standalone (pioneer dv-464). The DVD crashes the whole player, which never happened before.

But the same thing happens with the "proper" rip. Anyone any ideas?
On my pc the copy works wonderful and looks great. I looked into the whole thing with DVD Remake Pro and the DVD structure is somewhat messed up.

Otherwise:
V: 8
A:9
M:10 (awesome film!)

I would like to review the quality of this release, but unfortunatly I am unable to do so because of the mess they've made of the menu. re-encoding it has made it totaly unplayable is some stand alones, I cant play it in my pioneer, it either freezes on the beginning of the menu or my player swiches off after trying to play this mess. which is a shame coz this film rocks!! please can the powers that be nuke this already!!!!!

a total waste of my bandwidth.

same thing happens with my dvd player, but i can get the movie to play directly by using the remote instead of going straight to the menu.

i think a previous release of The Benchwarmers had this same problem. maybe a patch will be out soon.

Posted by Triffid on 08-12-2006 04:26 PM:

My LG standalone had no problem playing this, however, it's clear by now that many standalones tank on the menu. That's reason enough to be nuked/patched.

v -9.0
a - 9.0
m - 6.5 (keeping it real)

Posted by Khameleon808 on 08-12-2006 04:46 PM:

yea my dvp642 spit this right out at me but surpisingly the ps2 played it without ANY problems, im editing a music video to this as we speak right now. Keep it up guys, just work on that menu compatibility next time
