Why the constant complaining?

Hi all,

I know this post is probably going to be a knife in the back to any chance I ever have of getting any real access to the scene and I'll get some flaming, but I'm losing interest fast.

Every day I see releases posted here, and soon enough there are loads of people dissing them. Now come on guys, we can all play nice. Sure, the quality of some of them suck. Sure, some of them could be encoded better, but shit, at least films are being released. And I'm willing to bet the guys complaining about the quality of releases aren't releasing anything themselves. Give the groups credit... They're doing something. They're fueling your complaining, bitching lives (this comment obviously only applies to the bitchers). If you haven't got anything nice to say then shut the f*ck up. Comment on quality if you've seen the film or sample, that helps people. Just stop laying into the release groups. They're trying. These are pirate films. You can't expect every release to top-notch. This, believe it or not, isn't a perfect world. One day you might just find all the groups have sat reading these posts and gone "I'm fed up with this ingratitude. F*ck you all. Release your own bloody movies."

Respect to the groups, respect to those who support them. All you moaners, show me a film you released and I'll take back everything I said. Otherwise, shut up and just enjoy these releases.

I just watched the sample and it's as good or better than any other VCD I've ever seen. Watching it in a window, it looks as clean as a DVD rip (scaled or fullscreen though, its readily apparent that it's just a VCD).

i agree with jimmni. all these bitching, whining 14 year old turds annoy the hell outa me. if you havent anything of worth and value to say then shut the hell up you little fuckers.

I have no desire to get drawn into a big argument about all this, but I think you're backpeddling pretty quick here gallonFreak. My post, and the supportive responses to it, where about comments like (and I quote from your first post):

and as someone else said:

As I said in my last post, comment on the quality. That helps people out. Just don't go dissing the groups unnecessarily. This may be their first release or it may not, but it's still one more release than you've given us. There's someone like you on every board, in every newsgroup... Constant dissing and complaining, never anything to contribute. You may not be 14 but you sure as hell need to grow up.

Actually the quality of this release is not that bad.

As for your 'steps' gallonFREAK, perhaps work on your grammar because they would be called 'points' not 'steps'
Steps are used when describing a sequence of events to obtain a desired result.

Also, this group does not suck, this release may not meet your standards but EVERY groups has shitty releases and EVERY group has releases where people sit back and say 'wow, nice job' (with the exception of groups that are ‘in and out’ of the scene quickly so to speak)
To say a group sucks as a result of a few undesirable releases (that i may add YOU didn't even have the choice of releasing yourself) shows nothing but a lack of intelligence.

P.S. I doubt you got more than the sample, and as we all know samples can often for some reason or another not reflect the quality of a release.

actually, it's pointless to argue with this guy. he obviously has a hard-on for tcf for some reason, and will say negative things about any tcf release, no matter what the quality. also, i believe that this guy and i_drink_24_7 are the same person.

people like this detract from this forum, as they mislead those who do not recognize them for what they are, causing them to possibly think that a release is of low quality when in fact the commenter is making his comments based on something altodgether apart from the actual release.
