Wrong Unistaller LOL!

Just wondering if anyone else has come across this. On my main computer, it worked fine for Far Cry, but on my Comp 3 it wouldn't uninstall it nor was Far Cry listed in Add/Remove Programs. Ended up using Advance Uninstaller. No big deal but made me wonder if they planned it this way (Help! Can't remove game, of screw it I guess I'll keep it installed). See if you notice the mistake (you'd have to be blind not to):

*

*Uninstalling Far Cry not Deus Ex - Invisible War lol.

Uninstaller information is kept in the HKLM part of the Windows registry... I'm guessing yours has become a bit "mangled" probably due to a shitty installer thats raped your registry.

Not really *that* big a deal though... Just don't uninstall anything, ever

Nope. Happened on all five systems. Seems someone from Ion Storm (wrote Deus Ex, now defunct) must have brought it over/stole it and got too lazy at Crytek to change the wise unistaller info that shipped with Far Cry, LOL. None of my 5 systems ever had Deus Ex or Invisible War on them. But the game is now uninstalled on all 5 systems though I had to run a registry cleaner on 3 of them. Had to make room for some newer games. Still, you're right, no big deal, just an interesting (at least to me, fuck the rest of ya ) glitch/bugaboo/showpiece of laziness. Just wonder if anyone ever come across something like this with games/apps.

Soz, I misunderstood your post... I read it as "I tried to uninstall Deus Ex and it shoved its dick up Far Cry instead"

... I was probably stoned

Lol, quite alright, at least I was able to unistall the fucker (albeit with a few hiccups) from all 5 systems.

Deus Ex was a shitty game, I would have uninstalled that the minute I got it.

Wasn't to bad, had it at iGames for a little while, but since no one really played it, uninstalled it fairly quickly there.

BTW, I am reading your comment correctly, you're just refering to Deus Ex as a shitty game in general, and not that I had it on my systems. Otherwise you missed the whole point of this post, and must of only read every 3rd word or something.
