did you even watch the quality of this vid...

they have done a perfect encode of the film and actually done the decent thing of passing over intro and credits (personally i feel they could strip credits, 4 mins of film i never watch)

9/10/? (not watched whole film)

Perfect release IMO. Talk about squeezing the most out of the DVD-5. This "re-encode intro/credits" to allow for main movie thing is great (assuming you are a movie only guy).

I'm definitely not throwing this one away until I see what the R1 looks like. Last comic book movie I kept the R4 (Fantastic 4), so lets see what happens here.

10/10 on the video...

As for cutting the credits comment... It would make sense, but since the main movie was untouched, then the credits were free. But I do usually enjoy the Marvel intros, so only wish from me would be to have encoded the credits to like 900kbit and keep the intro also untouched But that would probably look like shit.

was the SCREAM release R1?
anyhow i'll wait for an R1 not R4 and hopefully it will be nice HEHE.

Posted by indydandy on 09-07-2006 03:42 PM:

I think the SCREAM release was also R4 because it had portuguese subs and R1 doesn't have them.

Posted by ams30gts on 09-07-2006 08:37 PM:

if you watch after the credits, there is a short scene.

Posted by ruiterrivel on 09-07-2006 09:17 PM:

The subs PT is Portuguese/Brazilian....

Video 9/10
Audio 8/10
Movie 7/10

pixelated intro but overall, decent rip.

8/8/9 (caught this in theatres)

If you read the nfo, they state they re-encoded the credits, the 20th century fox and the marvel intro to keep the main movie untouched.

Anyone notice a freeze-up at 51:00 ?

anyone notice there's an alternate ending...... AFTER the credits?

and it looks like shit.

Posted by dodgy368 on 09-10-2006 12:07 AM:

Audio and Vid get a 10

Movie gets an 8

Posted by pixar on 09-10-2006 12:14 AM:

Untouched main - can't complain about that - and intro / rolling end credits are easily removed to leave the menu + main feature as good as it can be.

Video + Audio 10, film 8

Another release can only offer nicer opening + end credits + extras, all will no doubt take their toll on the main movie - so this way is best.

Posted by BLUE-NEO on 09-10-2006 07:36 PM:

well I'm not a movie only guy so excuse my rating..the intro is really shitty and so is the final scene after the credits which is pixelated to hell when moving.

video during the film is good but still not all that great, I have a WS HD T.v. and it looked pretty clear to a certain extent...But I've seen better quality DVDR without having to tamper with the credits or intro, that intro during the Marvel screen was just horrid....

V 8
A 8 something wasn't right, I have a surround and the XVID DVDRip and The Telecine had stronger audio. not understanding why that is.
M 7 I like the movie but they kind of jacked the story all up.

The epilogue after the credits is horribly blocky. They should have thought about this when they decided to compress the intro and credits.

Posted by wrist on 09-17-2006 12:05 PM:

I'm sorry but for me that encoded intro sucks big time.
