Because the dvd5 versions are not released in the scene. They are directly released in the newsgroups.

Thanks Woutje. Also thanks for the James Bond rips. I'm up to You Only Live Twice right now.

DVD5 was released some hours before dvd9 by -RENTAL. -WHoRe released a lame proper also. You guys need glasses.

I have watched the dvd 9 of this and at around 1 hour 22mins it just stops, this is on my standalone player AND playing the image directly with VLC on my PC. Others on NG's have reported the same

I also downloaded a DVD 5 version of this which plays fine but there are no subtitles for the foreign speaking parts whereas the DVD 9 has, which is a shame, although subtitles can be selected for the whole film.

Darn DVD9 and it's PAL. Just curious, is there a way to convert PAL to NTSC that doesn't introduce loss?

The DVD5 by -Rental (tdvc-rental) as subs displayed for the non-english parts...sweet release, roll on the director's cut!!!!

Yes, but it involves a lot of work. http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=300144 Also you will lose the menu and any extras although in this case that is not such a big deal.

Is this movie worth downloading? Absolutely.
Is it worth downloading the DVD-9 when there are DVD-5 versions available? Doubtful.
If you want the absolute best quality and think you can do a better job of encoding than what exists already then download the DVD-9 by all means.
