Takes a long time to skip the blanked vobs. Excellent picture and sound. Nice selection of extras. Movie didn't grab me the way "The Wild" did.

10/10/7

I ran it through FixVTS based on what you said and it seems to work just fine (without the pause between blank VOBS).

Thanks for the warning.

There's a ppf patch out for this.

Over.the.Hedge.DVDR-Replica-PPF Patch

" 2nd Oct 2006

Layer Break Removed
Straight To Menu Instead Of Playing Through Blanked Stuff
Unused Button Removed From Main Menu
Minor Fixes On All IFO's "

It works for me. The Shrek button is now disabled as it did nothing before.

Be warned that some players ignore patches so you might be better-off just reauthoring the main movie.

Whatever m8!

A DVD player cannot ignore the patch, not flaming but you clearly don't understand how DVDs work.

As found with the garfield ppf it was the users using the wrong version of PPF Patcher.

Yeah, Patch works fine, and there should be no problems with the wrong version being used, as the patch comes with ppf-o-matic3 too.

Im not that great at explaining things but the way i understand it is dvds store everything in hex, programs like ifoedit, pgcedit etc turn that in to something you can work with and edit. a ppf patch works by stripping the img down to bare files making your edits making sure not to change the actual size of the files then recreate the img and run a compare between the two it lists the changes and outputs those to the .ppf patch this is what you use to change your img file. dvd players shouldnt be able to ignore the changes and if it does i would like to know how thats possible.

*small note i set the first play to go to the menu but resume will go to the intro before the menu which is just a dreamworks 30 sec clip this is planned and not a mistake.

A word of advice never ever adjust the first play, to bypass adjust the pre and post commands of each pgc you want to bypass. Adjusting the first play can lead to all sorts of problems. As registers might be set in the pgcs played before you get to the menu.

shame about the 'apparent' need for the patch - theres been a run of patches recently - mostly all needed for 'big group' releases. you'd expect this from ALLIANCE & others - but not REPLICA. They're like an ever faithful old sheepdog - reliable & trustworthy. However, crossing the line first does'nt always win the race...

Anyway, great job

Applied the patch and it works no problem. Another great release thanks REPLICA. How about a bit of tolerance - we all make mistakes & lets face it - it is not a big problem.
