Just watched the full release. Its a great DVD SCR source and riped really well. The film itself, well as a documentary - its interesting if you do want to find out about global warming as a whole. Its an ok movie but not one for a night in with the girlfriend.

M: This is a very important movie that everyone should see.
We (our industry) are gradually destroying this planet , and some governments refuse to take simple actions against this.

Great copy, a waste of bandwith, but a great copy. Any rube who believes there is global warming is unfortunately lied to. Remember how Hitler told you what to compare rats to? Do your web search for Time Magazine in Sept of 1978. You get to hear about how 80% of all forecasters telling us that by the 1980's we would be starving in the next ice age. Snow and dead people everywhere, starvation to boot. Truth is, they don't know and how anyone can sit there and watch Al-Gore's jet around the country spewing out jet air polution all over the country. Riding in his SUV, visiting his 6 homes which all of them are not energy green tell me how to live. Tell the people of Buffalo about the new heat wave...yeah that's it. Al Gore is the total liar who lives his life different then he tells us how to live, what a surprise I never would think of a polical hack doing that. Enough, this is America and anyone can believe what they want no matter if it's true of not. Damn, where are my swimming fins, I hear more snow caps will melt and so I will have to get ready...funny, my glass of water didn't overflow after my ice melted though...

this is very good quality - a joy to watch on a mid-size CRT widescreen set.

from the information presented in this film, one can be expected conclude the following

a) OMFG we're all going to die
b) gore is such a nice guy, that loves us and our planet, and shouldn't have lost the election

a "convenient" fact: the "unreleased" spike jonze doc and this "film", were released mere months apart. if one were cynical, one might question the motives of such a coincidence of timing...

what's happening in 2008 again?

How many hurricanes did we have this year? I am sure that didn't help DVD sales out much.

I'm with Mailman and other sane thinkers. There is little evidence to back up Global warming and no proof.

This is just an effort to make himself look good. Don't buy into it.

1. There is SOME evidence that the earth has warmed 6 tenths of 1 degree in the past 100 years. ANY study that uses temperature measurements prior to 1880 can be thrown out the window, as no scientist in the world would accept temperature measurements as accurate before that.

2. There is almost no evidence directly linking human activity to the .6 degree temperature increase.

3. The study this movie relies on for most of its scariest predictions used tree ring reading from A SINGLE TREE as its base measurement.

4. The effect of CO2 on temperature is logarithmic NOT linear. Meaning the per unit effect goes down as the CO2 increases. So, if the .6 degrees warming is true AND directly caused by the human doubling of CO2 in the atmosphere, then doubling it again won't cause 1.2 degrees increase, it will cause .3 or less.

5. Solar radiation and other cosmic rays as well as cloud formation have a far greater effect on global surface temperatures than atmospheric CO2 levels could ever have.

Watching VCDQuality posters argue about science is like watching monkeys discuss walking upright.

One of the best movies I've ever seen, why? because it's not often a movie about something unpopular is viewed by so may people, about a subject that matters so much.

It's validity? based entirely in scienctific method, that is science tests it's self, I'm a relativley young guy, but here in the UK I remember long summers, autum in october and snow by december, today I can catch a tan in october, and still see trees full of leaves in november...

Leaving scientific measures aside, there's no better proof than what you can see with your own eyes, and I can see it everyday.
Mailman, I can only assume your view is a deliberate attention seeking adventure or you work for fossil fuel company.

Everyone should see this.
