they coulda bumped it up to 608 wide couldn't they?

this one is pretty grainy.

Posted by piet007 on 10-26-2006 09:42 PM:

nuke this bitch. glitch at 33:02 on cd1. see snapshot above. I'm too lazy to find any other glitches.

Whoever rerips this shit, use a higher resolution.
if ogtxvid can make it 640 wide, so can you.

this shit is fucking ugly.

Grainy

Not the usual DVDRip quality. Picture is grainy and glitches here and there, as noted by others above. Volume is soft. Had to crank all the way up. Must be an R5 rip. Almost rather watch DVDSCR with subs.

v-6
a-7

yup its r5 rip, but there is something people should look into for the low res rip. high res u get too many pixels which actually results in lower quality of image, that also results in lower frame interpolation during the action scenes. With the lower res, u end up with better quality of frames. if you dont totally understand have a read of this:

File Size & DRF

enjoy.

but it seems like the ogtv rip was decent at 640 wide

Dumb newbies who think that higher res means higher quality *sigh*

Anyway... both have issues and look out for ints

if you want a "good" copy (not perfect)

take this one

Superman Returns (2006) *XviD* - DVDRIP - CH.W.D.F (it's an internal)

Posted by lodem on 11-01-2006 07:37 PM:

Since there are now apparently a few good releases out there for Superman Returns thought I would take a peek at the best one available. On this thread I heard a lot of nattering but still don't know if this is the best version. For example Fetish suggested the CH.W.D.F is the one. But he doesn't say why. Is it the resolution? Is it the audio? Is it the dimensions which I have heard bandied around? And the thread on the highly ranked OGTXVID version isn't much better either.

So the obvious alternative is to go find out for yourself. Which I will do. But in view of the number of responses received for the various releases of this movie we should have a much clearer idea as to what to watch and what to avoid. Which is after all the purpose of VCD Quality.
