Picture breaks up at 32 mins 46 secs EDIT: and again at 109 mins 21 secs as mentioned below. There is also a sound dropout and minor flash between the two.

The problem is these are torrent grabs... and the source is always in question. No offense to Blueray and Dreamlight but they both are russian torrent groups... So they just grab the source and pre them. They have no control on quality, which as we see, is not good here. Best to wait for an R1... Not worth the headache. An R4 or PAL would even do, as long as its retail and from a group that has a source in hand. Steer clear from this in my opinion.
As near as damn retail, just them few little glitches, but it will do until a decent group like Replica release it
Not a bad film, kids liked it.

It's not a codec issue I watched this on my standalone and then checked the original .img after to make sure it wasn't a bad burn and the glitches are there, it gets quite blocky on the ocean scenes and the night scenes too, Still worth watching tho if you can't wait for a R1 or R2, Looking forward to a R1 or R2 retail for a keeper

quote:I just played it in VLC and the picture break-up is clearly visible although VLC gives the first timecode as 33m12s when the cockpit warning voice says "warning, warning" and the second timecode as 1h49m58s when Lois says "We have to turn around, we have to turn the plane around".

Video is very poor quality - so bad you have to question the source. Audio acceptable - as is the film. Overall - wait for a better release.
Release isnt as bad as some people say.. yes it could of been done better but it still look like a move encoded at about 3500 kbs ..looks way better then a divx and way better then the ..Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest - MORPHiNE Rip
