Based on the sample it seems like a very nice cam.

looks like they goofed on something in this release. the picture is 2.74:1 and looks squished.
there are black bars on the video so maybe it was suppose to be anamorphic stretched from 448x240 to 448x336.
it does look better AR wise when i make it 448x336, and at that point with the black bars on the video it comes out to about 1.96:1
not a bad first release i guess....
6/6/8 saw in theaters, and it gets better as the sequals go on in imho
Same sort of problem with some of XanaX's previous releases. If you use MPEG4Modifier, change the display AR to 4:3 and it'll correct the AR to how it should be.
As far as quality (after the fix), it seems ok. Audio is understandable but a bid quiet, but video is ok considering it's a dark movie. There's also something covering the bottom right of the screen.
Let's see. For this movie we have so far releases from XanaX, FLAMES, CAMERA, MegaGun, OBSESSION, LibriuM, DiNATY and JAwS. And they all have something in common. Ugly. The range for video quality is between 1 to 4. JAwS takes the prize for the worst. Not only blurry, grainy and pixilated, but with a horrible flicker as well. The best is XanaX. Slightly less blurry, grainy and pixilated then the rest. And no more. Audio is cam quality. Maybe something a little better for some. But who cares about audio if you can't watch the movie?

M ? God only knows when we will get something watchable
"Audio is cam quality"
then this should be nuked for cam audio. one of the major things with a telesync is the audio must be direct

Haven't seen it myself but I'm wondering what else could possibly be wrong with it.

Thanks for the info on jaws and megagun. Iwasn't sure what they were but I know now.
I watched the first 5-10 minutes or so. Far too dark to enjoy; you can hardly make out what is happening in the dark scenes.
i was going to ask how to fix the audio, but i may aswell just wait for a telecine or dvd screener .. since it is coming to be that time of year
out of curiousity tho, how would i go about fixing the audio and how much time do i need to adjust between the audio and video sync. a friend wants me to burn him a copy

I agree totally with what's been said. Not one enjoyable release of Saw III yet, keep your pants on for a decent release.

What i can say is that the picture is very dark. The audio is pretty good for a TS.
