Plays fine on pc but on my Panasonic standalone system just will not play past any menu at all, just keeps going back to the main menu. (And before you all shout 'its just your crappy fkn system' its usually plays anything you throw at it).

Definately butchered. Get the wizard release.

Source is a Spanish torrent file ("sonrisita") which is why the XviD was nuked.

PAL runtime should be 147 mins. Where they get 168 from I can't imagine?

EDIT: correct name for this file is "jUNKYmONKY---ika-smrd" which is probably why your search engine hasn't found it yet

They should really have stripped the language selection at the start as only English menu is accessable.

PGCEdit complains about missing Nav Packs in the main menu VOBs

I think it was a badly ripped ArcoSS protection... Have modified the 1st play to Main Menu so will give it a try in my external DVD player shortly and hope for the best...

Hope you didn't delete the file as a patch is now available:-
Superman.Returns.2006.PAL.DVDR-iKA-PPF-PATCH
Would be very interested to know if the patch works with a Panasonic DVD recorder?

EDIT: (Fixed) File plays perfectly on a Pioneer DV-350/454 which is typical of an older player and can be a bit fussy at times. Unused menu buttons have been disabled. Picture is vastly superior to Blueray's R5 release which looks like a one-click by comparison. Logos no longer break up into pixels and fast motion sequences are no longer blocky. Audio is also more consistent although I can't think of a reason for that. If you can play PAL this is definitely the release to get. Ignore the sample as that is totally untypical of the movie as a whole.

I had only two issues with the movie itself. The first is that Kate Bosworth is miscast and comes across as a kind of poor man's substitute for Nicole Kidman. The other is the ending is far too drawn out and also unnecessary since they could have left it open for a sequel.
