How can you rate video of it a 8, or 9, when its untouched? HD would give it a 10?

If you are really interested in an answer, I would say perhaps the following items IN ADDITION to quality are fair game in Video ratings:

- Video Playability i.e. were items blanked and not skipped hence a pause before menu
- Video Clutter i.e. were warnings, logos, etc left in
- Video PUOps i.e. were playback function restrictions left in (Prohibited User Operations) which force the user to watch the FBI warnigs, logos, adds, etc

Not sure if this always qualifies in a Video Rating, but these are some possibilities...

NFOs (& their writers) have been known to lie or mistakenly supply false information, when rushing a release.

If the director or studio chooses to lowball a movie, then yes poor video may be all that is available.

Replica has historicaly had a good track record and high standards, tho.

I found that there is no audio on the animated shorts in the extras. Anyone else find this?

V-10, A-10, M-8

A pity the blanked bits were not removed properly and you get the aspect switching - a quick fix is to change first-play to VMG-Title Menu (not good for series discs).

The animated shorts have audio for me - but I've only watched on a PC not using a DVD player.
