checked it real quick picture is blurry and pops out of focus once and a while, and the audio has spots where it chirps

Meh... not really that great IMO.

Video: 6. Dark and bad motion blur. When there's not a lot of movement its fine. Picture is sharp.
Audio: 7. Direct, but muffled and the source was amped up too high. So there's crackling during some of the louder dialogue.
Movie: 6. Funny, but not the funniest damn thing I've ever seen...

Overall it's an OK release. It'll suffice for those w/o divx/xvid players. Oh... and it looks like the group put their own Sub's over the video, which is nice.

meh, not amazing, but nonetheless great quality

from sample:

v 8 (nice and crisp with rich colors, slightly dark, slight motion blur, although my rating might be biased since i watched the shit copy with spanish subs throughout)

a 9 (very very clean, no hiss whatsoever, no compression sounds, good amounts of bass/treble)

m 9 (fucking H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S)

They added custom subs to this release. Any ideas how accurate the subs are? Did they just translate the other language, or did they somehow get the exact words from the english movie?

Video is blurry and dark, audio goes up and down and has some static and the subs are not accurate. When the guy blow dries Borat in the hotel room the subtitles say "Just dry me off" and Borat said "Just dry me off, not manual relief" or something to that effect. I just watched a few minutes. The sample is one of the best looking parts of the movie. The quality is consistently lower throughout. Wait for something better.

I saw this film in the theater, but well worth watching again as it's hilarious.

The video on this release isn't bad - a little faded (color wise) but the video is sharp and very watchable.

the audio leaves a little to be desired. it's not horrible, but it's not great either... the volume sorta comes and goes through out the movie, making some scenes very hard to hear. Since this movie is more dialog based than video... the audio is really more important.

I don't know what everyone is ranting about. This release is perfectly watchable. Yeah, the subs might be a little off, but they don't really take away from the humor.

Video is cropped all the way around, but nothing really cut out. Color is ok, a bit dark in some scenes, but viewable.
Sound not great but not terrible, in a few places it cracks loudly.
Movie is for fans. Someone with no knowledge of Sacha Baron Cohen and his characters may not enjoy it. It might have helped if they had used actors.
