Kinda blocky but sound and picture are good enough for a quick dvdscr release
Video: 7.5
Audio: 8
Movie: ? (Yet to watch)
nice and fast release! 8,8,9!
Video: 8
Audio: 7
Movie: 9
Video is watchable, although a little blocky.
Sound is slightly off-sync from the start and slowly gets worse towards the end of CD1. Not sure about CD2 yet.
Movie is very good so far. Different from the norm, quite disturbing and uneasy to watch - but good
In case u didnt read the info its 2CD's
Video - 8, overall pretty good quality, no B&W but for your considerations appear a couple of times, doesnt effect your viewing though
A - 7.5 sync is out for a little bit on the first CD
M - havent watched yet, but from flipping though looks like it could have potential

This release is a good release too. The sound is great and the video is truly nice.

Hmm. reading these comments I kind of wonder if we saw the same screener.
The video is quite blocky most of the times, and not that good considering the 600x250 resolution. This is a quick and dirty job of a dvsscreener. No black and white moments, but a few for your consideration messages. If the source was as dvdscreeners usually are this isnt that good of a rip.
V: 5 Blocky, sometimes to the point of looking like a cam.
A: 7.5 A tiny bit out of sync, but nothing major.
M: 8 Resonably good movie, some of my favorite actors.
I think the scene is in a rush nowadays and quality is suffering because of it. I am grateful for everything we get, but at the same time I feel that the border between a p2p release and a group release getting more blured every day, and the only difference we can count on is the speed.
Re: rushed quality of these releases:
Remember that we're talking about Academy Screeners here, folks. These are likely not even DVDs as we know them-- more likely the proprietary format that the MPAA introduced a year or two ago. I'll bet that these are caps and not true DVD rips. Given that every year or so someone ends up in jail over MPAA screeners I'm grateful for the risks the release groups take in bringing these movies our way....
BTW - interesting site cataloging which screeners have even hit the street:
http://kenru.net/movies/2006-7_academy_screeners.html
PQ is nice, but noted that CD1 audio is reported by avicodec as 32kbps and CD2 as 128kbps. Still a nice offering of an interesting flick.
For a DVD screener
V: 7.5-Quite pixellated during certain scenes. Watchable though
A: 8-Does what it has to. Not an action movie, but the dialogue is very audible and understandable.
M: 10-A disturbing dark comedy drama that should have gotten a wider release in theaters, but glad it's getting a lot of nominations.
