flicked through this to check
v-9 seems perfectly fine
a-9 seems in synch from what i can gather, dd 5.1
m? not watched yet, not on my list of 'priorities'
I would very much hope the sound was in synch since this a DVD rip!
From a Region-3 source as far as I can tell but the picture is as good as any R1 disc. The surround mix is awful. Dialogue is often drowned by overloud effects but that is not a fault of the rip. A couple of options in the menu should have been blanked including a 2.0 soundtrack which doesn't work.
This is one of those ideas which looks good on the printed page but doesn't work as a movie. It's watchable but that's about all.
EDIT: The menu on this release looks homemade and displays as 4:3 on a 16:9 TV. I fixed that with PGCedit but that screwed-up the order of the audio and subtitle streams so I had to fix those as well. If it wasn't for the technical challenge I'd just rip the menu altogether with DVD Shrink since it doesn't work all that well in any case.
