Top 10 Movies You Probably Haven't Seen | Post 1990
Suggest a great movie that is not popular and probably hasn't been seen by many others( which will be hard around here!) This gives great rental ideas!
1) I'm Not Scared ('Io non ho paura ') -- 2003
2) Amelie ('The Fabulous Destiny of Amelie Poulain') -- 2001
3) The Red Violin (Le Violon rouge) -- 1998
4) Battle Royale ('Batoru rowaiaru') -- 2000
5) Leon: The Professional -- 1994
6) Gattaca -- 1997
7) The Legend of 1900 -- 1998
8) The Hudsucker Proxy -- 2004
9) The Boondock Saints -- 1999
10) The Celebration ('Festen') -- 1998
(couldnt help myself, the list continues.....)
11) The World's Fastest Indian -- 2005
12) Saint Ralph -- 2004
I think everyone whos anyone has seen the Boondock Saints

Yup seen Leon many times, as has pretty much everyone I know. Surprised EdwardNorton didn't add E.T or Titanic to his 'probably haven't seen' list.
I have seen all on his list except for The Red Violin and with a sypnosis like this "A red and perfect violin inspires passion, making its way through three centuries over several owners and countries, eventually ending up at an auction where it may find a new owner." I probably never will.
EdwardNortons still a leet movie fan though, don't hate on his bad self.
Good movies you've probably never seen? Er... I'd say some British Films like The Firm (link added so you don't get mixed up with the Tom Cruise tosh.), Going Off Big Time, Hard Men, McVicar, The Krays, Face, shit like that but if you're British you should have already seen them. Other than that, you 'probably haven't seen' some of my extra special porn.
ok this list is going to similiar to a list i put in whatever thread whenever in 2006...
guess i'd label it.not really cult or unknown but not known by the mainstream/blockbuster type movie only crowd...
the adjuster-atom egoyan
safe-todd haynes
naked- mike leigh
chungking express-wong kar-wai
fallen angels-wong kar-wai
trust-hal hartley
suicide club-sion sono
gegen die wand-faith akin
edward admits the things on his list probably wont stump be unknown to the kids at vcd quality. but i'd say show his list to people who's histroy/interest in films mostly comes via the top five movies of the weekend box office list that in the states get reported as much as sports scores...
and edwards list will baffle most. being in film class especially with the internet isn't need to have seen or at least know of the things on ed's list..
hell the net really isn't needed either just access/interest in reading film books/film magazines.....
and i have no idea what 'indie' film you can see on cable tv. hmm did cable ever help convert anyone to an interest in this sort of stuff ?????

Sounds pretty good, sounds like The Matrix.
It sounds frickin awesome when compared to a movie about a fucking Violin, the climax of said movie appears to end with an auction. Fuck me!!!!!!! AN AUCTION. GOing going , ooooh a last bid, edge of seat stuff. GOing GOing GONE< woooooooooo saaaaaaaaaaaa The violin is sold, tears all round, bravo bravo it's a masterpiece.
I have an idea for a sequel, its called The Blue Violin. The winner of the auction in the first movie decides to paint his newly purchased fiddle a pretty shade of periwinkle blue. After the paint drys he realises he made a big mistake and decides to sell his once loved instrument, this leads to another climactic and intense AUCTION. Who will win? who knows? bite your nails, hide behind the sofa, this auction will be bigger and badder than any auction ever seen before.

I found Mystery Men funny as hell, which is why it was on my top 10 COMEDY MOVIES. Not Top 10 Movies of all time.

Please re-read the thread subject you started. It states, "Top 10 Comedy movies of ALL TIME!" Among your list is the title, 'Mystery Men.'
So Yes, 'Mystery Men' is on your top 10 movies for all time.

lol, the movies in the first post are pretty mainstream and most people would have seen them.
The Blue Violin sounds great!
Anyway, a film i like which wasn't too mainstream was Tattoo , even though i have a keen disliking to German people...
