kept hearing about it on npr, was meaning to check it out, but never quite got around to it.

dont think it'll live past its hype though.

I think it will last here beyond the hype, as it has a very definite Canadian flavour that goes over well in the Great White North.

I'm enjoying it, but not as much as say Corner Gas, or certainly not as much as Trailer Park boys

It's a pretty silly show, with some humorous moments. I only watched the pilot, but have no intention of watching it again.

While it's cool that there is now a comedy revolving around Muslims, I think a lot of jokes it brings up make light of some of the dilemmas we have in the religion. To an outsider, they may come off as trivial and raise the question, "What's wrong with these people?" ..but to those who have any insight and understanding towards the actual problems at hand, it's not doing much as far as a) providing entertainment, or b) removing stereotypes

That's not really a problem though KayDawg... We all KNOW Muslim's don't watch TV

Also, considering I've never heard of nor seen this show - is it written by Muslims or at least people with some insight or is it written by a committee of guys who all worship at the altar of the dollar?
