Vista security updates

My copy came in the mail a while back but the key didn't work that came with it. According to M$ there is a problem with my software. Go figure

Out of curiousity is there any updates I should stay away from? For example ones that will make my windows stop working.

I was told of one not to install but I can't remember what it was now.

I haven't had any problems with any of them Para. Out of personal choice, I did not do all of the language updates but I really like Vista ... so far

Didn't Vista come with your pc though?
Mine isn't registered. So I don't want to install something to make mine not work.

Yes, but only my desktop came with it.

My laptop ( Vaio ) came with media center edition of XP. I have an upgrade version on it and everything is peachy so far.

The only difference I can tell from running Media Center and Vista Home Premium is that Vista actually loads faster. It does use a tad more ram but I don't use my laptop as a work horse so that isn't really an issue. That's what desktops are for

That's strange, I was told I had to stay away from certain updates since my copy isn't 100% legit.

If M$ is reading this it's about 85% legit

There is an update to miss, but only if you are using the time crack method in your 85% legit copy. Google for Vista Time Crack and you will find it listed somewhere.

If you are not using the time crack, then there are no updates that should cause you issues.
