A near perfect TS. A little dark, but nothing you can complain about. Audio sync fixed.

Used to love the turtles as a kid, so had to watch, and I enjoyed it. Cheers PUKKA.

Nice to see such great speed and quality, i didnt check out either other version, besides the samples, so im not sure how far sync was off on the 1st pack. I still notice slight off sync, around 14:40 and other spots, but its barely noticeable,
The movie so far is good, but i only made it to 40:00 b4 passing out in a drunken haze, so... will finish up and re-edit post!

10/8/?

good to see the turtles again although this movie seemed a bit short and rushed.

A tad dark but if you have a quality dvd player (if you burn it) then you can tweak the brightness contrast and its perfect.

Sync issues fixed

There is still a 2 seconds worth of sync issues at the campfire with april and leonardo at the beginning but then it corrects itself so except for those 2 seconds i think the rest is good. the video is a tad dark but very watchable

v=8
a=8
m=7 kids liked it

Are we sure this is a TS?

Just watched this. I'm a little confused as to what the original source actually is, (TC, TS, or otherwise) but the movie looks great so what does it really matter? :P

Video - 9.5: For a TS this is phenomenal, mostly because it is completely without motion blur. It's a little dark and shows a little noise and DCT blocks in the dark areas, but otherwise it is almost perfect. Dead-center, perfectly level, and with an incredibly minor bit of crop at the bottom. I was confused on the lack of motion blur until I pulled up the IMDB info and saw it originated in both Hong Kong and the USA. It looks like it's intended to be shown at 25fps, hence why the 25fps cam video is lacking motion blur. Great stuff. Whoever provided Pukka with this source needs to stay on their payroll.

Audio - 9: Stereo, (real stereo) direct, and without noise or glitches. It does go out of sync in a few places here and there, but it is for, at most, 10 seconds, usually during scenes where it's hard to tell who's saying what anyway. Most of the few out of sync places last for 3-5 seconds, tops, and you really have to look for it. The other 95% of the film is synced perfectly and sounds great.

Movie - 8: It was kind of odd for a Turtles plotline, and I'm not sure if I'm 100% in love with the Incredibles-style figures of the human characters, but all the Turtles look awesome. The plot, while sort of an odd duck, is easy to follow and contains just enough depth and subtle twists to keep it interesting and not immediately predictable. The only real gripe I have about the film is that Donatello and Michaelangelo were woefully underused; Donatello's role was mostly explaining why the entire city was in peril of destruction, while Michaelangelo occasionally showed up to provide 15-20 seconds of comic relief every 15 minutes so. (Yes, he's usually the comic relief, but he was remarkably absent compared to usual Turtles fare) Otherwise the two mostly stayed in the background. You could basically call this "The Leonardo and Raphael Show".

Bottom Line: Get the repack; it's awesome. I'm suspiscious that this is a Telecine rather than a Telesync, but it's irrelevant as the quality is excellent. (Besides, it's not like you'd ever see a group release nuked for passing off a Telecine as a Telesync) Unless someone works amazing wonderous magic to fix the few, incredibly minor sync issues in the repack then this is the release to get at the moment. There's no reason to wait if you want to see this movie; an R5 or DVDSCR isn't going to be a big enough jump in quality to justify the delay.

yukichigai well written review and I agree with most everything you said except and 8 on the movie.

V - 9 really is impressive, minor crop on bottom only notice it on one of the turtles names in the beginning. It is a little dark, but that is because the movie itself is dark, when there is a bright seen you truly see how great of quality it is.

A - 9 sync issues fixed, loud and clear, good base

M - 6.5 / 7 plot line was okay and they made way for a sequel and with an opening weekend of $25 Mil we will prob get one. Wasn't really a fan of the very cartoon-est human characters, the turtles were good. And what was up with Casey being a bit of a pansy, hes supposed to be more rugged. Overall, if you are a TMNT fan give it a watch

Very nice release, picture and sound are very clear, no motion blur. It's sad that someone watches the release so fucking close to notice a almost non-existant 2 second sync issue, when the camera isn't even close up on the character. Regardless, this release is beautiful.

V-8.5
A-8.5
M-7.5 (I think they could have done better)

Video - 7
Audio - 9
Movie - 7.5

Pukka did a GREAT job with this release. Props goes out to them for repacking it so that the sound was in sync. The video was a bit dark, but still quite clear and watchable. The sound was crystal clear and crisp. The audio sync issues in the previous version of this release were indeed fixed in this one. The sound was 100% in sync for the entire length of the movie.
I was surprised at how much I actually LIKED the storyline. At first, I was just watching it to see what the quality was like, but 10 minutes into it, I was mildly interested in the story, and 1 hour into it, I was completely enthralled. For a CGI cartoon, this had a really good storyline. The BEST CGI cartoon in my opinion as far as the story is "The Incredibles". This movie was not too far off in that it dealt with REAL LIFE issues of family as opposed to the usual kiddy land nonsense that most of today's CGIK cartoons consist of.
The icing on the cake was the fact that Pukka even let the credits roll to the end. As far as I can remember, this is the first TS I've ever seen where they let the credits roll.
Much props to Pukka for withstanding the test of time and still being around to put out quality releases.

I actually watched this tonight.
As most have said there was a few sync issues. Very minor with this copy. Overall not bad.

Video: for a TS it's a solid 8. This is not a TC.
Sound: Other than Sync issues, It gets a 7.

Movie: Now this leaves much to be desired. Very light and not much story. I give it a 2 out of 4 stars. I think I'm being generous.

Video: For a TS I'd give it about an 8.5

Audio: Once or twice I noticed sync issues, but usually by the time I noticed them they were gone. I'm really picky about sync problems, they're like drinking diet coke and thinking it's going to be regular, but these ones weren't worth a gripe. I give it a 9, very clear, very good, and stereo.

Movie: Some scenes were very weak. Donnie had no purpose whatsoever (he had some of the worst scenes) and I think Splinter saw more action. *shrug* I never liked Donnie anyways. It stayed very true to the turtles, although the second movie will always hold a special place in my heart. 7.5
