Ok, see u sorted it.

V - 9
A - 9
M - 8

Thanks Replica, another fine release!

FYI

The Plot Outline in the NFO is from Must Love Dogs, the actual plot outline is:

Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, born with a superior olfactory sense, creates the world's finest perfume. His work, however, takes a dark turn as he searches for the ultimate scent.

And the correct Genre would be:
Crime / Drama / Thriller

V - 6.5
A - 8.0
M - 7.2

Nudity is blurred out.. reason for such a low vid rating from me.

As good as this rip is I would still wait for an uncensored release. In fact, I can't understand why Replica wasted their time with this version? Anything to win the race I suppose? What next, the orthodox muslim version of Casino Royale?

Movie rating is downgraded to reflect the censorship, not the video which is otherwise perfect.

10/10/7

Should be nuked.

Hmm, I got the original german HD-DVD, I can't remember any nude scenes blurred out. What scenes exactly are blurred out? Wonder why they don't take the german DVD which also comes with an English 5.1 track. Probably no english menu.

Every scene which includes a naked body, of which there are many. It seriously detracts from the dramatic impact of the movie as a whole. At the very least there should have been a warning to that effect in the NFO.

Posted by Extractor on 04-02-2007 12:29 AM:

hmm... sounds like a pretty stupid version then.

Posted by phantisy on 04-03-2007 08:27 AM:

The blurred out nudity is a shame. The end of the movie where about 5000 people are nude and getting it on would be best if you could see it all..... Good and interesting movie...

Is that whole scene blurred out? Oo Horrible. Someone should take the German DVD and replace it. heh

A very disappointing release from Replica, who usually release excellent quality DVDs and it's FULLSCREEN too

Yes but "fullscreen" 16:9 not "fullscreen" 4:3. I think you're confusing this with CCAT's release?

The framing was one aspect of this transfer I was perfectly happy with.

Are you on crack mate?

Posted by crapper on 04-06-2007 11:24 PM:

an utter shame
pic amazing besides the damm blurs.. this movie has been sensored to crap...

so since its dvd i cant say a 1 but clearly a damm nice transfer .. good source..

but its a thia release.. which mean sensored to crap...

sound 10
movie 9

replica didnt give me the nudity... so i hope u will take an other source like the german dvd of this release instead of the highly sensored one..

thnxx for the effort thou.. and i enjoyed the movie..

Posted by Extractor on 04-08-2007 09:08 AM:

I wouldn't really blame it on Replica. I'd never have expected such a thing possible. Well, there's an NTSC release now but I hear it's 4:3... I dunno why so many countries release fucked up versions of this beautiful movie.
