Now i dunno. i might get flamed for this. but fuck it am sayin it!!!

Now while i enjoy these releases....Why OH Fuckin WHY wud these groups strip extras from DVDs especially deleted scenes and/or extra scenes etc.

THATS THE WHOLE POINT OF GETTING THE DVD MOST IF NOT ALL OF THE TIME!

c'mon people. be smart about what u strip. i think we people of the internet will take a small hit on the quality of the main movie to enjoy some good extras. We appreciate it!

M Watching later but after skimming through it looks good.

@ttmanofsteel, read the nfo, they had to delete the crap to keep the bitrate up, or they would've fallen below scene rules, this movie is over 2 hours long, if you want all the extras then wait for the DVD9.

I couldn't disagree more. I would rather enjoy a movie with a good picture and sound than an inferior picture and bonus features I would never watch anyways. Deleted scenes are deleted for a reason. If you want to see them buy the damn thing.

I've got to say that I personally could care less about the extras, and all that other nonsense. I'm perfectly content with the movie alone.

I buy DVDs for the movie... isn't that the point? I for one am glad the extras are stripped, especially on a long movie. Unless you're watching it on a 14" portable TV, then its worth it for the picture. If you want all the extras, buy it. People should be interested in the movie first. Would buy a DVD of extras that didn't include the movie at all??

@ ttmanofsteel
I do agree to a point that some extra's are nice, like deleted scenes & bloopers, but when it's a high action movie like this one, you really do gotta let everything else go to keep the bitrate up to a decent value.

Now, the review...

Looks great, sounds awesome & movie kicks ass!

you're a fuckin idiot- if you want the EXTRAS that much then you BUY the DVD when it comes out period!

this release is awesome- i always prefer quality over extras- if i like the movie alot then i will go and grab the DVD to see what extras i missed- some people are just fuckin ungrateful!

No obvious glitches. No picture artefacts or sound dropouts. There is one scene where there's a kind of feint shadow or stripe down the middle of the screen but that may be on the original? No unused vobs or menu issues. No blurred-out nude scenes

By-the-numbers movie could have been made for TV.

Lol, my thoughts exactly

Yeah, the movie is fairly predictable but enjoyable all the same.

@ ttmanofsteel: I like some extras but I don't expect the scene to include them because of the dvd5 limitation. Occasionally a scene group will release the full dvd9. Emerald does it once-in-a-while.
The point could have been made without the crude insults made above, particularly when he/she doesn't even know know you in the slightest. Let's have a little respect folks.

I dunno this old movie quality vs. extras issue will never stop. If you want perfect quality AND the extras. Go for DL or buy the damn disc! I'm actually happy that groups like Replica focus on movie quality. Always perfect CCE-encodings, one of the very few groups I believe that they actually do use multipass CCE instead of just telling it in their nfos.

I guess due to group release races it is impossible to do a perfect evaluation of quality vs. extras because if you want to do this right, you gotta take your time. Replica has an excellent ripper who knows his shit for sure. But a lot of people here can't do anything but whining about releases. People who want just everything (fast release, perfect movie quality and all the extras on a DVD5) are just ungrateful imho.

Replica are always head and shoulders above the other groups. Cheers

As for the extras, so what ??, if i am that interested in what the director, actors, lighting bods and the tea boy have to say, i'll go buy the disc.

I just want to watch the film in as best quality as i can.
