Spring Update Info

the Spring dashboard update will feature ...

*Windows Live Messenger IM integration.
*More informative achievement notifications.
*A brand new Marketplace blade with updated organization.
*Upgraded XBLA friend interaction functionality.
*Auto-off downloading functionality featuring low power mode.
*Enhanced family settings for chatting.
*Ability to watch videos while downloading off the XBLM.
*Hundreds of other random fixes and tweaks.


Microsoft also announced that they'll be releasing a new QWERTY text-input peripheral this Summer that attaches to the Xbox 360 controller.

also a patch for GOW around the corner aswell !!

a new game mode and all the glitches are being patched

rumoured new weapons also not sure

There was suppose to be new weapons a couple of months ago but that never happened !

Back on topic - that keyboard should be really handy when sending messages to friends , and the messenger should be pretty sweet too , although i cant see myself using it that much !

3 days to go. i've had my 360 unplugged from my router for a week incase the bastards did it early

So far it seems people can still play backups after the dashboard update! Even without the latest firmware revision!

Yep, mine works, hitachi with stealth 2.3

I would stay off live with firmware lower than 5.3 (for TS). It's confirmed that other firmware works but there are rumours going round they're just harvesting accounts and then banning when Halo 3 come around.

If you're set on not upgrading then wait until after the Halo3 beta before you fumble about online.

If you want to upgrade and you're in Yorkshire then give me a nod ;-)
