New Sci-Fi: Painkiller Jane

This sounds interesting.... Anyone seen an episode?

quote:
Based on the comic book created by Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada, 'Painkiller Jane' is the story of Jane Vasko (Kristanna Loken), a DEA agent who is recruited by a covert government organization tasked with capturing "Neuros" - genetically-enhanced individuals who possess superhuman powers of the mind. During the course of her first investigation with the team, Jane inexplicably discovers that she too possesses extraordinary abilities - abilities that render her impervious to injury but not pain. She develops miraculous regenerative powers, healing from every injury and finding herself stronger than she had been before. As she continues to work with the government to hunt Neuros, Jane tries to uncover the cause of her own transformation and what - if any - connection she shares with the very people she is pursuing.

Sounds pretty good. Do you reckon the writers have been watching heroes?

Not that it matters, if its even half as good as heroes it will be well worth watching.

It has Kristanna Loken in it... Even if it's shit I'll watch it with the volume down

Just watched the pilot...

... It's bad, very very bad.

Like a budget version of Alias with a cheesy retro-action soundtrack.

Has anybody watched more than the pilot or can ANYBODY other than Cupidstunt give a brief review... I'm not saying that Cupid is a cum-gargling shithead with less redeeming features that a baby in a bacon slicer but he's not what I consider to be a balanced and impartial reviewer - or even uman

I didn't get past the pilot because it was so incredibly trite and cloying.

On this occasion you should believe me, I had to watch 2 episodes of Traveler before I decided that was shite and I watched a massive 3 episodes of The Riches before I condemned that to the 'one to miss' shit-list.

This one barely lasted to the end of the pilot, it's utter shite, if it was engaging on any level I would gladly watch it, its not like theres anything else to watch.

Standoff finale was on Thursday, that just leaves Flight of the Conchords. Half hour a week of television shows is not enough.

Plus, you are an unimaginably boring cockwit with half the sense of a mormon cat.

If Painkiller Jane and Blade: The Series had a shit-flighing competition, which show would be covered in the most clumps of clotted detritus?

Basically, Blade: The Series is the shitty stick by which I measure all things bad on TV and if Painkiller Jane is half as bad as that I'd rather beat-off with a cactus.
