Hostel Part II
I went to the theatre after having watched the workprint, saw a few changes, nothing major, but the movie was gorier and bloodier than the first.
i like both of the movies and this ones ending was pretty graphic, eli roth did push the r-rating as far as he could.

I watched the movie as well but wasn't thrilled with the end result. I think that Eli put together a better film than the first, but it seemed short and i wish that certain stories were explored further. the biggest disappointment was the movie being different than what I had expected, but I guess thats also a good thing. I was hoping that the rich girl's father ended up being one of the "players" to kind of twist the story even further but oh well. Overall it was a pretty good movie, better than the first but not perfect.

Rich girl's father? I thought she was independently rich because she was an orphan - isn't that mentioned a couple of times?
Bar the Countess Bathory bit with the geek chick the rest of the movie was a let down: nowhere near the tension or the need to look away during the torture/death scenes of the original.

Nah, her mother was rich and left her all the money. It was said in the movie that the girl gives her father an allowance instead of the other way around.
I did think at one point that the american guy that won the auction was gonna turn out to be her father.
I did like the twist with those two american characters, the loud brash one turning out to be a pussy and the quiet timid one turning out to be a fecking nutcase. Not too sure on the beginning of the movie though, thought that was pretty lame.
Not a bad movie (also not great)
this one was better than the first, but i do agree it was a bit short.

watched this in the theater, way better then the released unfinished version.
It needed John Locke.
I didnt think the first film was very gory - maybe 10 seconds in total?
This one was also an average movie i thought. It spent too long fucking around with basically the exact same build up from the first film but with different actors.

not nearly as good as the first, or as gory.
after watching the workprint, theres no way i'm spending my hard earned cash on this shite. Simply take the first film, replace the guys with women and make it less gory. The only "ouch" scene is the castration. The first girl (rat-woman) get slashed up a bit, even though you dont see anything, the second girl you see even less, and the third girl doesnt die.
And the director spits his dummy out saying the pirated workprint effected box office sales. Get over yourself dipshit. This movie is cunt.
