Starts of in black and white for the 1st 2 mins 30 and the goes into colour sound and pic are nice for this russian movie so id advice getting the subs unless u know russian. Movie prolly not for me but im sure theres people out there who would like this.

Beginning is in Black and white as said above, this is 'to give sense of history' as the beginning is set in 1944

This film was unfinished at the time of director Cristian Nemescu's death

BTW its Romanian, not Russian
