v:5 (would rater higher if the crop didn't kill the video)
a:3 (goes out of sync and russian audio in parts)
m:?

This is typical mVs... Stolen
There is russian audio in parts of it. it is way over cropped, and audio goes out of sync in parts.

good rls, atleast far better than the firsts... its a bit dull colored, too much contrast maybe... its a bit wide, but not by that much, it could be worse... the audio sounds ok, dont know about sync (sorry) I dont really look forward to this, though i like silver surfer, but Nancy Drew has better reviews, how did this happen?

6.5/7.5/?

Nothing seriously wrong with video or audio. But it's like watching a movie through a mail slot. Too narrow for me.

6.5/7/?

remember when you were little and were watching a scary movie, and your parents made you cover your eyes but you would peek beween your fingers at the screen? Watching this rls will bring back those memories. The audio isn't bad at all and the video is OK except for the last 20mins when it is dark and makes it hard to see what is being shown. overall for a opening weekend rls this isn't bad if you hit the zoom on the standalone player it should help a little but i would put this as a coin flip for watchable decent quality just narrow.

Audio is direct and thtat is a plus as always. Video has good colors, just cropped to much. From what I've watched so far, I haven't seen anything where the dudes heads are chopped off, so it's very watchable. Considering how quick this came out no complaints. Thanks guys for taking the time to put this together.

Way to much of a crop will wait.

Posted by HeADboNE on 06-17-2007 05:43 PM:

1st watchable release not bad atall watched whole release.

Picture quality is not bad atall for a ts its not as cropped as it looks but is letterbox so viewing on small screens will be a problem.

v7 a6 audio is adequate not great. m7 Have always loved the whole concept of the silver surfer and his immense power, is very cool to see him on the big screen. Thoroughly enjoyed the film leaves you wanting more, not as dark as I'd like lol but its a family film after all so can't complain.

overcropped crap, russian was not this cropped

5/7

Not too bad i suppose but how you can give the video an 8 is beyond me.
Audio is ok for direct, however it sounds like filtered cam audio to me.

Posted by pomh on 06-17-2007 07:54 PM:

It is actually a very wide screen but it is actually very watchable also. I am probably the biggest fan of WIDESCREEN and was disappointed with mVs on their At Worlds End release of 1.85:1 widescreen. This is much improvement, but instead of the 2.65:1, next time try 2.35:1, but props go out, saw sample and was not disappointed. Easily watchable, gets quickly adjusted to the eye and might make a good TS, but if there's something else, you can try either...

If only it wasn't cropped so badly this would be a great release. The audio was nice and direct. There were a few slight sync issues, but i didn't hear any Russian in there at all. The night time chase scene near the end was dark, and hard to see what was going on, but otherwise the video was nice. Sharp with good colors. The bottom crop really cut off the location labels when switching scenes. Definitely watchable, and leaps and bounds over the two CAM releases.
As for the movie i enjoyed it, but i wanted a little more Surfer/Galactus story.

V -7 Good stuff, but too cropped!
A - 6 Also good but brief sync issues.
M - 8 Good, but lacked a more in depth story.

Wow, mVs is getting worse and worse. Basically, this is just an internal piece of shit. Sure the picture is nice, but cropped so bad you can't enjoy it!! the audio is decent, but has minor sync problems, which isn't that bad. The main thing is the crop, what the fuck were they thinking? Sure, crop out the russian subs, and half the picture with them.

V-1
A-6
M- still waiting for a release worth watching

i thought it was great who cares about the crop and darkness, it's only a telesync.

M9 enjoyed it will see it at the cinema this week

i can't really understand if everyone is talking about the same release. i hate watching TS releases but this one was decent video audio was fine albeit a tiny bit out of sync for a few seconds here and there. the only down size was the crop and angle but i doesn't really detract from the viewing pleasure

v- 7 (would have been higher if it wasn't cropped and angeled)
a- 7
m- 3

shame the movie was about as entertaining as getting a oral yeast infection off a dead dog

Posted by pknw1 on 06-18-2007 05:16 PM:

cropping..

just a quick note on the crop

from IMDB : filmed in 2.35:1
from Gspot x=640 pixels
from Gspot y=208 pixels

if 2.35:1, then y should be 272 therfore approx 23% cropped

(this is if the full width is there....)

and most of it looks like it's cropped from the bottom

V = 6 (bacuse of the crop)
A = 7
M = will wait

Posted by HBx2000 on 06-18-2007 08:57 PM:

v=7, i think they've cropped foreign subtitles, little bit too dark, good colors.
a=7, nice direct, just a tiny litte hiss, no noticiable sync issues.
m=7, not fantastic, just a great popcorn flick.
