Task Manager in Vista
Ok, this is bugging the shit out of me. I have Vista Ultimate on this machine and the Task Manager used to be there, but now when I press "ctrl+alt+dlt" I get nothing. Well I get the switch user, log on/off screen.
So I go to the control panel and try to open it where I get the "Task Manager has been disabled by Administrator" message. I am the only user on this machine (that I know off) and I am the administrator.
I have a Purchased version of NIS, all updates are completed, scanned etc.. no viruses found.
Trust me I have tried everything my puny mind knows to do. I searched M$ website and their solution is that I have a virus, but I can't find one. I followed their directions to a tee, but it was to no avail.
ELJ where are you?
help me someone ... PLEASE??
I want my Task Manager back.

What about the Group Policy Editor?
Have you checked that?
Finally MS got smart.
Lolobo you are my new hero. Thank You !~!
