anyone have any glitches with the menu? i just watched this release.. it worked fine .. but the first time i tried to press play the movie didnt come on.. had to start the dvd over. anyways.. maybe it was just me.
Not the best effort from TGP...
Video & audio is OK - but they kept 400mb+ of various crappy previews & removed some of the extras - DOH!
If they are going to keep extras on a disc, then surely its better to dump the previews in favour of extended movie scenes?
After all, are'nt previews just adverts?
Or did the guy who ripped this think previews were cool??
V-10 (untouched, hmmmm.. Entire movie & 2 audio tracks under 3gb)
A-10
M-7 (liked it, a little slow, but not bad)
:: EDIT - menu worked ok for me, so cant comment on the previous posters problems ::
should be nuked. a glitched on the menu. and another glitch on the scene, where the characters trying to pass the mice on the tunnel.
TGP is carving out a nice reputation as the worst DVDR group.
Once again, they leave in all the previews and rip out extras. The only extra worth keeping at that, the extended 'snuff' videos.
V - 10
A - 10
M - 8.5
audio/video get 10 because they're untouched. btw, they took out the Full Screen version (can't believe a studio would still bundle a full screen version on a dvd), that's why they were able to keep everything untouched except for the Extended Scenes (which, btw, if you haven't seen the film yet, aren't that important to the film. you'll see).
i was surprised by this film. the characters are way too two-dimensional but that doesn't distract from the main attraction here - the great story (and homage). a really well-crafted little flick.
ps. TGP should've taken out unused buttons. that's a really lazy job.
