big timer on the bottom, big "universal studios" logo on top, however, it does have subtitles for the foreign language parts.....

Posted by geebee on 08-15-2007 06:38 PM:

From sample

v: 8
a: 8
m: ? tickets for tonight so not going to watch

Big timer across the bottom and watermark across the top but otherwise a great copy for a movie only just released.

As far as the techie analysis of dropped frames etc, I will leave that to the experts as i know nuffink :-)

Posted by SIE on 08-15-2007 06:38 PM:

Looks good, shame about the timer on the bottom though.

8/9/10

Hopefully somebody can blur the timer out.

Posted by Valver on 08-15-2007 06:48 PM:

Looks pretty good but as said, timer on the bottom all the way through etc..

Will probably get nuked as its more a Workprint thant screener. well worth getting though!

Posted by craigh on 08-15-2007 06:53 PM:

Posted by DQUK on 08-15-2007 06:55 PM:

A - 8

M - Not watched.

FANTASTIC

Video: 10

Audio: 10

Movie: 10

Posted by CATBOX on 08-15-2007 07:06 PM:

Bitrate is low so the video isn't the best quality. Possibly a VHS screener mislabeled. For a movie that is almost 2 hours, it should definitely have been 2 CDs. Large timecode on the bottom, and a Universal Studios watermark on the top are constant . Audio is good. Movie is good.

watermarks weren't as bad as I thought.

i'd say 8/10/?

Posted by Striped on 08-15-2007 07:35 PM:

Timers annoying but easily cropped, the property of is hardly noticable once yo get into the film

Personally I think this is an absolute fantastic copy. Best out there by 10 miles....Yes there is a Universal Studios watermark at the top and a timer at the bottom, but isn't bad at all. Also, I don't mind a watermark or timer in a film as long as it looks good. This is definately a keeper

audio - 9

Video - 9

Movie - 10 (but that's my personal opinion...the series was fantastic)

Posted by AlkalineReape on 08-15-2007 07:41 PM:

best version to date....

V: 8.5 - timer's a little big, but nothing to complain about
universal logo isn't that noticable....definitely worth
watching

A: 9.5 - really good audio on this one

M: ??? - can't wait to watch this one as i just picked up the bourne
files that was just released in stores....looking forward to
this

truth is it has a large timer across the bottom. and a water mark across the top through out the video.

don't confuse finding and getting a movie you've been hoping for with the quality of it.

this is one of the lesser screeners i have seen, it's like trying to watch a movie through a transparent newspaper. and quality is more like a vhs rip than a DVD rip

can't blame the release group ,blame the dumb ass that put all the crap on the screen. i would call this a workprint not a screener.

PROBLEM Here is mislabeling the whole release this is a VHS Workprint. not a DVD-Screener. no need to mislabel it. come on now get real.

V-7 could have been a 8 if cleaned up.

Grainy as shit considering it is supposed to be a dvdscr, i've seen crisper vhs screeners TBH.

That being said, it is by far the best we have and a copy I will sit down and watch properly soon. A decent R5 will piss all over this.

V: 6 (dvdscr should be at least close to dvd quality)
A: 8 ( Ok on PC speakers, not yet tested on surround sound)
M: ?? will watch later

Posted by shadow22 on 08-15-2007 09:27 PM:

Well, best copy out ATM, but the huge timer and Universal watermark ruin it. This is a WorkPrint.

As A workprint

V: 8
A: 7
M: ?

Posted by Darlowad v4.o on 08-15-2007 09:43 PM:

as above

v8
s8

id rather see timers than shitty cam video.

rated as dvdscr

V 6.5 (could/should be better)
A 8 (sounds great)
M 9 absolute a must see

Posted by Mailman on 08-15-2007 10:47 PM:

I don't mind the timer crap and if anyone has an issue you need to check yourself. This is better then any copy of a TS you can get. Nice video and sound, especially when you think the movie is only a few weeks old. Nice release guys, thanks.

Gotta love the kiddies who blow their wad at the drop of a hat.

Substandard image and sound quality for a DVDscreener; as many people said, probably a VHS source. Gonna wait for the DVD, or I'll see it at the theatre.
