Awaken the Dragon (Enter The Dragon Remake)

how the fuck can they remake such a classic!!!! im speechless

Bruce Lee's iconic 1973 martial arts movie Enter the Dragon is to be remade for a new audience, Hollywood studio Warner Bros has announced.

The film, renamed as Awaken the Dragon, will be about an FBI agent who investigates a Shaolin monk and underground kung fu fight clubs.

The remake will be written and directed by Kurt Sutter, who also produces the US hit police drama The Shield.

Warner Bros has yet to reveal who will be cast in the lead role.

In Enter the Dragon, Lee played a kung fu fighter who infiltrates an island occupied by a rogue martial artist.

Wu Jing (aka Jacky Wu) is the only real standout candidate for the role.

But NO ONE has the presence, charisma, or style to even come close. In fact it'd probably be box office suicide to take on the role. The only hope is for a Besson style-over-content take on it, with Corey Yuen doing the fight choreography, but it still is likely to be panned by anyone who's ever seen the original.

i read the title of the thread too quickly, and got overly excited, thought it said they were doing a remake of "The Last Dragon." that would be superb.

Just finished watching the ‘Chinese Connection” and “The Big Boss”. Also will shortly be viewing all his other movies. Refreshers the purpose be. Overwhelming bearing, martial arts skills without parallel, pure raw savagery in every one of his action scenes.

There will only ever be one Bruce Lee. Period.
