There IS a working release (isn't there?) but you need to copy folders mid-install or something whacky like that.

and remember, try before you BUY... If a game/movie/album is worth keeping, it's worth buying.

No, there is currently no bypassing the activation. i.e. you need a valid cd key.

I would buy this game in a second if I had the funds.

From what I hear, 2K Games suffered a backlash from users complaining about DRM issues after the release of this game.

So you'd probably be better off warez-ing it anyway even if you could afford it.

I really REALLY hope a group releases a playable copy of this game within a few weeks.
