The only time I ever only looked at the sample without unrar'ing the whole movie. Its missing r.48 but there is a rarfix out...

Very good screener. Minimal b/w scenes ( for what I saw). Rar fix required for missing r.48 but easy to get. Movie received some high praise but quit watching after 40 minutes or so. Not my cup of tea at all.

8.5/8.5/?

Rated as screener. The usual black and white/studio name every thirty minutes or so. Not bad though considering the movie is set in a "Leave it to Beaver" style backdrop. It might actually help the movie at times believe it or not.

M-7
Director does a great job of creating an alternate 1950'ish reality and there are a few funny moments scattered about. Story seems to be aimed at a family audience but there are definitely twisted undertones in the plot.

Is the movie worth watching? Yes but, I'll warn you ahead of time. It falls on it's face at the ending. This does have cult classic appeal but it could of been so much more.

the film was shot with a vibrant 50s kinda feel, so the b&w scr scenes bothered me more than they should have.

enjoyable film overall. the clash of tv 50s with zombies was funny to see. there were some funny lines here and there too ("grandpa's fallen...and he's getting up").
if i hadn't seen shaun of the dead, i might have enjoyed it more i think.

TBH - Not sure what to make of this - quality (inc b/w) is fine, nothing special, but the film doesnt really appear to know what it is.

Horror/Comedy/Deep/Dark/Family etc etc - but doesnt quite hit the mark on any of them.

Probably the easiest money Billy Connolly has ever made

We watched with enthusiasm in hopes of a good comedy zombie movie. What we saw was an ok, semi-comedy drama. Not a total waste of time, but not a must see. Last 10 minutes it finally picked up.

V=7.5
A=8
M=7

V:8. Lots of black and white, but otherwise sharp with good color.
A:7 Not bad but nothing special either
M:7 Thought it would be better... had lots of potential but somehow never clicks.
