Lets all give a big shout out to Replica for once again saving the day. After 2 nukes someone finally gets it right. Quite a bit of interesting extras were ripped that i would have liked to see but video quality is #1, not extras. They did keep the gag reels which is good for a laugh. Also DVD9 is out so I guess that will solve my little issues. Anyways, audio and video are usual Replica quality, as good as they're going to get for a dvdr.

Many thanks to dodgy368 for the heads up on this release. I very, very nearly grabbed the one which was nuked instead of this one.

The main menu does indeed work on this one. Picture and sound are as good as you could expect. Sadly, navigation of the bonus menus is all over the shop. The "Gag Reel" button isn't highlighted properly. In fact, pressing "enter" before pressing "up" will take you to a couple of unused but cleverly animated deleted-scene menus. I couldn't even open the image file in DVD Shrink to check the contents due to navigation errors, I had to rip it with IsoBuster instead! It turns out there's an unused scene somewhere on the disc and three redundant subpicture streams.

Anyway, those are minor issues as the main feature played just fine in my standalone.

I thought this was going to be a comedy? There's just one laugh-out-loud gag near the beginning of the movie and rest plays like a twenty-something soap opera. Don't watch this expecting it to be anything like The 40 Year Old Virgin because it isn't.

9/10/6

I agree with the video/audio ratings. I give it a 9 or 10 for those. There was one scene - I don't want to give away any spoilers - that really did shake my walls. Good surround sound.

I was disappointed in the movie. I give it a B-. It was funny but more of a sappy romantic comedy than I was expecting.
