Camera should get a new source that doesn't have dupe frames.

V - 5
A - 5
M - ?

Thumbs down

This would be a pretty good cam if the frame rate wasn't so screwed it is unwatchable on my stand alone thanks anyway good luck next time

Posted by 5Up3R on 09-09-2007 06:34 AM:

its a little cropped at top and its got a dark green tint which i think apart of the movie itself. not sure

the audio is loud and clear but very heavy echo effect

as for the movie, it looks like its gonna deliver one thing action, so dont look for good storyline or oscars. but if u like sh!t blowing up then this is ur movie.
watching now

high 5- low 6/7/?

Video - 7 (Gets blurry in fast action scenes but entirely watchable)
Audio - 8 (Pretty clear. Audience sound is minimal.)
Movie - 9 (Very fun to watch. If you love movies like Sin City, then watch this)

As A CAM !!!
V-5 blurry/pixelated especially during action scenes/colors
washed out/green tint etc etc etc nothing special here folks
A-6.5
M-?
Due to this flick being an action film i'll wait for better quality

Posted by MrFreestyle on 09-09-2007 08:14 AM:

Rate as CAM!!!

Video 7.5 Very watchable on lcd
Audio 6 Not bad at all
Movie 9 Kicks @ss

Best CAM I have seen from Camera ever..
Hope silvers are getting better..

Posted by roidesoleil on 09-09-2007 12:31 PM:

skipped thru
v 7.5 it's a little dark and gets blurry in action scenes but otherwise: nice cam, no angle, no crop, pretty sharp
a8 seemed ok,no audience
m 7
r thx for the fast good release*content*

Posted by fireman911 on 09-09-2007 01:51 PM:

ok for a cam, it's fucing sharp, fuckin nice.
only bad about the dupe frame...
i think release it as you did before, is better. now the action scene's etc. look like shit.

V:8 (very nice cam. only bad about "filter" or something for dupe frame )
A:7 ok for cam
M:- will wait till mvs wil release a ts of this, like they do last time...

::ModEdit: No genius... you rate each within it's own category. This has been discussed! ::

V 6
A 8
M 8

Posted by ALteReD on 09-09-2007 06:23 PM:

Based on sample. Got some major ghosting going on here. The picture is actually sharp and crisp if it wasn't for the green tint and the dupe frames it would be a hell of a cam. No complaints on the sound. Quite nice for a cam.

V: 5 (Would be higher except ghosting and tint)
A: 8
M: ?

Posted by whitedevil on 09-09-2007 10:00 PM:

almost watchable

the ghosting really ruins it, id wait
if they repack and fix that then this could be a good cam.but as is i really wouldnt be so quick to say this is watchable.

4/7/?

ill wait for better or a fix

I should have stopped watching this, but I couldn't

This is the typical low-quality crap you've come to expect from silvers anymore. It's sad that some release groups openly rely on silvers for their sources, but at least it's been cleaned up a little.

Video - 6: As far as cams go this has loads of issues, but it's at least watchable. The motion blur is off the charts on this just like any other CAMERA release due to the 15fps source. There's also a lot of noise, but not enough to obscure the screen. Most everything is visible, albeit somewhat fuzzy and speckled. There were two occasions that come to mind when I was unable to really understand what was going on visually, but beyond that not so much.

Audio - 8: Cammer must have been positioned well, 'cause the sound is pretty good on this one. The occasional laugh and other audience noise is heard, but a lot less than one might expect. No background hum from the cam itself though, and none of the speech is hard to hear. Overall, pretty decent quality for a cam.

Movie - 9: This could have been the greatest gun-based action flick ever if they'd laid off two things: the heavy-handed (and slightly confusing) political message about guns, and the pace-killing capture/interrogation/escape portion of the third act. Other than that it was a wholly enjoyable movie, in the same vein as Crank: minimal plot, maximum action. I'll probably pick this up on DVD once it's out.

Bottom Line: It's a CAMERA release, so that should say something in itself. Within that it's fairly good quality given the range. It's watchable and listenable. Since the movie is so good it might be worth picking this release up, especially if you're an action fan, but if you don't absolutely have to see this movie now just wait until a better source comes around.

Requires a little work with VirtualDub to greatly improve the quality of this release before watching:
Reduce green/blue tint with RGB Equalizer.
Enhance picture quality with msharpen filter (str 33, thr 10, rad1) and Brightness/Contrast filter (B=0, C=110).
Processing time: 1hr 35mins.

V=7 (after fixing)
A=7
M=5 (I'm not big on ultra-fast action movies filmed with hand-held (studio) cameras - they give me a headache
