installing problem

i am installing Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 v12.0 and when it gets to registering modules time remaining 2 secs it just freezes any suggestions

ALT+TAB to see if there's any popups or similar in the background that need answering?

START>RUN>eventvwr (Check the event log to see if any parts of the operating system had a nighmare during the install?)

the error message in the application log is 11704 MsiInstaller i have googled this and not come up with much

maybe try to install it through another program(tuneup ut.)?
