As for Machete movie - http://imdb.com/title/tt0985694/

says 2007, but it'll probably be pushed to 08.

Props to the VCDQ updater for getting this up so fast. It took a certain release news site hours to catch up with VCDQ.

Excellent rip. No menu issues. thought the fast action sequences were a little jerky in places.

Pitiful movie even allowing for it being meant to be, I actually preferred Death Proof to this.

9/10/6

I actually preferred Planet Terror over Death Proof. After I watched Death Proof and it got to the end I was like wtf - way too much unneeded dialog.

...ok, so we all knew that was a Quentin Tarantino flick before we started it so, seriously, come on. (but on to the review of THIS movie since thats why we're here)

Video - 9 Only because any flaws you see are supposed to be there and if they're not then how would we know?

Audio - 9 See no problems with 5.1. DTS would have been nice but probably too big.

Movie - 8 And ppl, remember the trailer of this flick. No one is saying its realistic or even halfway believable...you're watching because its Rodriguez doing his thing with Tom Savini and because in no other ridiculous premise/storyline can such quality senseless gore exist.

Oh, and if there were ALL the fake trailers involved in Grindhouse on here, then I'd say the disc/movie is a 9...but, theres only Machete.

The only reason I watched this was to see Rose McGowans tight little arse bouncing around on screen

To be honest I found the flik quite good whilst downing a dozen or so bottles of Miller. The main feature wasn't as good as the trailer for Machete tho...that was class. The only thing that pissed me off was the ageing process they slapped over the film. I know its meant to be 'grungy' but it just got on my tits. Good rip tho MPTDVD.

Pic 9
Sound 10
Flik 7ish Good Mindless Drinking Entertainment
Rose McGowans Arse 10

Enjoyed this and Death Proof. Great releases.

V: 9.5: Probably the best you can get. The film effects probably also inadvertently hid any potential artifacting and similar deficiencies.

A: 10: Saw this at night, so wasn't able to hear it at reference...but I'm assuming the track was untouched. Sound was clean, with good use of surrounds.

M: 10: I'm a big horror and b-movie fan. I knew I would love it after the first gunshot and blood splatter effect.

V / 10 ?????........how can you rate a film that has been deliberately made to look like some shit from the 70's ?
A / 10
M / 8

Better than the pile of crap that was Death Proof. At least Rodrigeuz delivered on his half.

Video showed no evidence of over compression.
Audio was clear and had good levels.
Movie is fucking awesome! Also includes extra footage not seen in the theatrical release.
