Since R5 popped up, telecines are kind of rare, so it pretty nice to have an telecine of this movie.

This is indeed good. So rated as a telecine:

V - 8
A - 6
M - 10

Video is really good but Audio could be better, comparing with DELAY's audio there isn't much difference.

This release can easily be watched.

TC? mmm....maybe, but not great. Audio cuts out at start of credits. Have seen better TS. brightness too high, and not a sharp image at all. As TC

V 6
A 6
m ? good cast, looks interesting

Posted by roy8846 on 10-05-2007 03:06 PM:

Just finished watching.

For a TC....

Video seemed too bright , but also too dark in dark scenes , clear enough to watch on my 37" , watchable though i think this is a TS.
v = 7

Audio was loud , bass seemed a bit distorted , also constant thump noise in the backgorund (but not to bad)
a = 7

Movie was good , also pretty funny (DeNiro made me laugh)
m=8

just finished watching this and more than watchable.
Is a bit bright and a little dark now and again but not enough to ruin watching it. Audio is fine just seems a bit quiet in places but nothing the volume didn't sort out.

Watched on 32" lcd

V= 7 (very watchable)

A= 7 (little low and had a funny knocking noise through out)

M=7 (not bad made a nice change and de niro was funny)

Would be a very nice TS, but rated as a TC:
v 6
a 6 (distorted, direct though- not the best imho)

Will wait for R5

Posted by jicjak on 10-05-2007 04:27 PM:

From 2 rars. Haven't seen a TC for so long forget a little how to rate versus TS's, R5's, your assortment of Rips, Screeners, and anything else. So will focus on watchability which is the only thing 99.9% of the people visiting the site care about anyway.

A bit bright resulting in washed out colors. Resolution fine. Sound slightly bass less. Best out so far though. For $65 million budget and superb reviews from those supposedly in the know this release of movie good enough to view.

7.5/7/?

Posted by Mailman on 10-05-2007 04:44 PM:

It isn't the geatest TC, but it's a whole lot better then anything else which was released before it. Sound is fine, not full, but fine. Video is better then a TS, so enjoy it or wait for the DVD.

V-8
A-7
M-7

Posted by Rippertje on 10-05-2007 05:16 PM:

Any of you also looked at the .nfo

As for the quality, its looking allot better then the previous source, and the sound is also. But that's just judging from the sample..

Posted by l33chionair on 10-05-2007 11:20 PM:

tc rated
v 7
a 6
m 8

v: 6 (Bright in light scenes Dark in darkish scenes , grainy)

Posted by Extractor on 10-06-2007 01:14 PM:

V 6 - rated as Telecine
A 5 - some strange noises in it
M ? - dunno, stopped watching after some minutes

Posted by Neversoft on 10-06-2007 03:38 PM:

Unfortunately mVs are too fucking dumb to differentiate between VCDQ members reviewing the quality of a release and besmirching their good reputation.

Hey mVs, we know you can only release what you have, if we say it's shitty fucking quality it isn't a reflection on you, just an honest evaluation of the "watchability" of it... You palsied cum-gargling fuckholes

V - 6
A - 6
M - ?

Weirdest looking TELECINE to me. Seems to have been ripped from a poor film reel. Also looks similar to a TELESYNC maVen would release though with slight more flickering. Audio sounds like TELESYNC though the releases itself is very good. Picture wise, you can see everything, audio wise, you can hear everything and then some for some reason. Not a bad release though not exactly DVD quality. Still best copy of this film out to date, all of whom who dire to see this now, watch this one...

Posted by SultrySalesma on 10-07-2007 12:22 AM:

Not a bad release but some might want to hold out for SCR

V-6 Dark
A-5 low for me. Difficult to hear in quiet scenes
M-* Gonna go watch it after I get fisted by my father.

Posted by EthrielTD on 10-07-2007 04:02 AM:

If this is a TS and ont a TC, then it would be pretty much the first TS (which is in essence a CAM with direct audio) I`ve ever seen, to have:-

A) The Correct AR.

B) Correct picture Geometry.
(IE not from any angle, so if it were a TS then the camera was about 10ft in the air from the theater floor)

C) Credits all the way to the end.

The picture clarity is comparable to the TC of 1408, all of which say TC to me rather than TS.

Audio is quiet and slightly sparse sounding but other than that is pretty clear.

As a TC:

V:7
A:6
M:7

...the tone of the movie reminds me of Tim Burton or the new ABC show Pushing Daisies...

Posted by shawners on 10-08-2007 06:20 AM:

Quality wise.. ITS BAD. This is not a TC. Its like a TS thats been brightened, colors are faded and objects are blurry in the background. Audio is horrible. I seen the same thing done with transformers on here. Some how they turned up the contrast and its just too annoying to watch.

Deffo not a TC and im supprised that its not been nuked. Even with there NFO stating that we cant judge the quality on here.

TC would not have a flickering sky like a cam/ts the sky shots would be clear..

As a TC

V.4
A.7
M.unwatched ill wait for a better release...
