Judging from sample: Vidoe quality is good, typical DVD which doesnt come out for another couple days. The audio seems low but good none the less.

Video: 8
Audio: 7
Movie: N/A

From rar and sample. Little pix. Low sound but listenable when cranked. Will watch when can.

8.5/7.5/?

Slight sync problem. Really does not effect watchability.

I'm not so s ure i understand this.

the actual DVD for return to house on haunted hill is a "Choose your own adventure" style dvd, in which you dictate the story. how does the xvid work?

I'm under the impression from the trailer that the "choose their fate" thing is an HD exclusive. This is probably the dvd version of the movie, as it was originally scripted.

Very nice audio and video. I really dont think that having to turn up the volume is cause to lower the audio rating. The track sounds great.

Looked real good for a 1CDer, viewed on a 50". Movie was pretty lame though.

I was under the impression that it was only the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray versions of the film that gave you up to 97 different possibilities of how the film plays out, who dies, how the die etc.

I imagine that this release follows what will be the theatrical release.

The first was lame acting, but nice catch-you-of-guard moments.

Best enjoyed after a spliff, lights low/off, home theatre, and a nice subwoofer

Yuck.

Quality was good though - just a shame th e movie was pants.

V - 9
A - 5 (far too quiet)
M - 3

Audio peaks at just -16.5dB and is out of synch by 200ms.

2 perfectly good reasons why this release is no good.

If they fixed that I'd have given the audio an 8 or 9.

V - 8
A - 2 (had to fix normalization and synch myself)
M - 3

After reading the reviews here I made sure I pumped up the audio volume by 30% when I converted it to vob for DVD burning. I had no problem with the audio being in sync.

V=9
A=8
M=4 (pretty corny)

NOTE: The ending of the movie on this DVD release doesn't happen until AFTER the credits roll...so don't turn it off too early.

V 9

A 8

M = ?

Sex violence gore and horror should be enough yet strange enough this movie didn't hold my scattered attention.

Great rip
