Antiques Roadshow Appreciation Thread

Talk in here about anything and everything related to Antiques Roadshow... Especially if you have nude pics of Hugh Scully.

I liked the episode where the woman took a teapot in to be valued and it turned out it was actually a broken 2006 Rowenta Kettle. I also liked the episode with the Grandfather clock that was disguised as a lime that played "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter" at midnight... Although there's a chance that neither of those events actually happened.

I love the way they build the drama, keeping the viewers on the edge of their seats with a dramatic description of the particular era a thimble or a pill box came from. Then, BAM> they tell us how much it's worth. Guesses are made but really, no one knows how much it's going to be worth, it's always a surprise, it's crazy to even try to guess but we still do, yearning for the day we nail the right price so we can sit back sated and satisfied with a smug look on our faces that just screams "I beat you Jonty Hearnden, I fucking beat you".

The show just plain outright owns. It's been a Sunday teatime institution for aeons.

A group needs to cap it so I can watch it here in .ky. I miss such a fine show. Even those stupid cunting Canucks show it on their monopolized cable television network!!!!
