Merging
Hi guys
wat software do u use, 2 merge a 2cd xvid rip into a 1 cd...
I mainly use a program called "search"
but it has its problems.
try convertxtodvd if you are trying to put 2 avis onto a dvd.
if you are just trying to merge 2 avis onto a cd......................let me know
That doesn't answer the question at all.
If you wan to merge two 700MB AVI's to make a 1.4GB AVI:
get virtualdub,
open the 1st file
then goto "File Append AVI segment"
then open the second file.
click the video drop down menu and select direct stream copy, do the same for audio.
Save as AVI.
But if you want to make the 2 AVI's into one 700MB AVI you need to re encode, find a guide on http://videohelp.com
dont fuck about use this sweet piece of kit http://www.alloksoft.com/fast_joiner.htm its fast joins the 2cd's in about 2 mins then convert to dvd.
but the trial version only does 50%. You need to buy it to use it properly ukiron.

Why use vdubmod? It's outdated.
I thought there were compatability issues with vdub.

vdub for importing xvid
vdub mod for importing mpg
vdub will do the job fine in this case
you might want to use nandub though, it will let you work around those VBR audio xvids
Easy as that
vdub mod is fine with VBR audio also, just don't re-write the header when you import
do you really have to buy it? (br1 stolboy allok fast video joiner)

(which is a modified version of vdub) It has the same capabilities in terms of handling vbr mp3s, with the benefit of automated workarounds for several of the more annoying limitations nandub has. (e.g. Color Space mismatch errors, sync issues, dropped keyframes after merge, etc.)
