DVIX/XVID ON XBOX Finally

As the title suggest you can finally play DVIX/XVID files direct on your xbox. You can also stream no problem now it's alot handier than using tversity.

Details here.

I'm way behind the times and I've only just ordered a 360 which will be turning up tomorrow hopefully. Just in time for the XviD/DivX update too which means I can use my 360 for media in the front room and move the old xbox running XBMC to the bedroom for late night TV watching.

Yea I think this is great! I thought it would never happen because of the assumption that most DiVX stuff is bootlegged content :-/

my friend jesus has been streaming divx/xvid content from his MCE laptop to his 360 since it came out. that is pretty cool that it can read it directly from the disk tho...

Its just a shame that if you watch anything over 2 hours on your 360, it will overheat and explode!

True story!

I went out and bought a standalone HD DVD player because I didn't want to put my 360 under too much stress!! *sigh*

how can you download the update if you've been banned from live? I thought I read you could download it from xbox.com and install
